>TFW your Corsair®™ AIO water cooler fucking explodes all over your PC, wrecking your GPU and motherboard.
I'm on the verge of killing myself. Somebody help me.
Never again, Corsair
Also, PC building horror stories, I guess
>>
Why aren't you killing yourself?
>>
why do people even bother water cooling it's not much better than Air unless you're doing extreme overclocking
>>
>>53533607
>using water cooling

You only have yourself to blame.

I probably should just end it all. You guys don't know the horror that I felt, lifting up that PC, to see water dripping from the bottom fan intakes, and a massive puddle on my desk. Fuck Corsair. I wish I could take pics, but it's all dried by now. Looked basically like pic related
>>
>>53533790
Was the computer on?
Was the power supply turned on?
>>
>>53533830
PSU was on, PC was not. The motherboard and GPU are definitely broken. The PSU survived, probably due to a clear acrylic piece between the fan and the circuitry. I think the processor and RAM are still okay, but I'm not completely sure
>>
put your entire pc in rice

trust me
>>
>>53533872
>780i board
it was time to upgrade anyways

What model gpu?
And have you tested them once they dried? IIRC that coolant is ethylene glycol-based so it's nonconductive.

I want to think that after it mixed with the thick layer of dust on my GPU, it would conduct like any other water. GTX 760

Corsiar just rebrands shit from other brands, so it's really a mixed bag. Most of their PSUs are made by seasonic, so you're probably good, fammo
>>
Explain to situation to Corsair's customer service.
As much as I love to shit on them, Corsair have amazing CS and will probably replace your entire computer free of charge.

There is still hope anon. I've revived a laptop which was thrown in a bathtub. It was on at the moment of submersion. Then it stayed wet for 3 days while the nigger tried to turn it on during that period and didn't even remove battery. Try writing to Corsair, they might hook you up.
>>
>>53534007
Yep

I underclocked my A8-6600K from 3.9 ghz stock to 2.8 ghz and decreased voltage, because I really don't use all of its power, it's just nice to have it available, hope this helps a bit.

Are you me? I just fried a A-10 because I decided to pair it with a 1000w turd. I can't even recall the brand.

I will never ever forget the day my modded Sapphire 6950 (reference) sparked out of nowhere while I was watching an anime. I wasn't really sure why it happened since I was using it for almost 3 years without problem or the fact that I didn't blow some canned air for half a year, which collected some dust around the fan. I still have it, though.
>>
>>53534109
To add, everything except for the GPU and the mobo were fine, but the audio chipset of the mobo got unusable, only hearing some buzzes had to buy a sound card as an alternative.
>>
>>53533633
I'm still rocking air cooling but I'd like water cooling for the purpose of having more space in my pc case.

Also I think water cooled systems have better looking guts.

This. Your GPU couldn't handle the shame of being forced to render animu and committed sudoku.
