Still better than Lincucks
>>
>>53517995
Being able to find security holes in your product before they get exploited is a strength in the developer company. Pretending that your product doesn't get viruses and not doing shit about it is giving up on your product.

Yeah because that was definitely the reasoning behind it.

Fuck off.

Both are great. You prefer Linux? Fine, fucking use it. I don't give a shit. Personally I prefer OpenBSD.

Yeah, but the issue is that you have enabled POS ready mode, which is designed for systems that are not using say, a browser? Or anything else?

it's on your end buddy, I use my computer just like I would use a computer and it hasn't been hacked or anything.

how the fuck else are you supposed to use a computer
>>

I mean I don't take some crazy precautions to not get a virus.

I don't even have an antivirus installed, I just occasionally scan with Malwarebytes and it has never caught anything.

that doesn't mean you're not infected lmao

All it takes is a motivated individual with a 0day or two to own your system, and on a patch-on-patch clusterfuck like Windows, those aren't in short supply.

>I bet you installed linux mint that day, uh?
No, I just didn't start thinking I was a security expert because I read some microshit-sponsored fear mongering on a clickbait site.
>>
>>53518138

So do I on this machine >>53521142

OpenBSD has a 50GB partition on the boot drive.
>>
>>53521011
Theo de Raadt of OpenBSD project ranks Windows second in security with only OpenBSD beating it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OXS8ljif9b8

If you cared about security you use Windows or OpenBSD. Everything else is trash.

Radeon 7000? I have a couple of those (sapphire 64MB PCI joints). Once I found that the intel 82845 gpu is a lot faster, I stopped using them.

Maybe it's ok if you don't route any traffic to Internet. Stick it behind OpenBSD machine that doesn't forward packets, and just ssh to that box to do Internet stuff. You can probably also run X server on XP machine, to display Firefox window or other X clients.
Also, turn off wireless on XP. Get rid of the driver, or just turn off the hardware switch (some laptops have this).
>>
>>53522884
I put it in for dedicated vRam. This pc has only 756MB RAM. Speccy can't display this amount of RAM nowadays.

You can get one for $20 or less. Or: kms Pico, daz loader or Ms toolkit. If you are too ignorant to figure that out, you don't need to be using a computer anyhow.

You're obviously dumb enough to realize this is actual POSReady 2009 and that it's absolutely same XP SP3 with new full graphical installer, less bloat and some POS crap that you won't even have to install.

Winfag here.
Aside from Acrobat, we've banned all Adobe software from the enterprise where I work.

If you aren’t interested in a faster, more secure, improved experience, you can completely opt out. Turn off Windows Update and it won’t upgrade you. It’s that easy. It’s not ideal because you’ll miss out on security updates, of course, but if you’re interested in that sort of stuff, maybe consider Windows 10?

Where I work someone just paid $200 for a years worth of software support for a pentium 4 machine with 1 gig of ram running windows xp.

I couldn't sell that shit, just go buy a new computer with that.
>>
>>53526816
It's probably not worth the headache trying to replace the software it's running or whatever else it's doing, $200 is jack shit unless your business is circling the drain.
>>
>>53526738

The way this post is written it seriously looks like a MS shill.

None of those, seems to be in good physical condition. Wireless card sucks dick though, cant hold a wifi connection, just flicks between "acquiring address" and back to its description over and over. Ethernet is fine though.
