is 120gb SSD enough space or should I spend the extra for 240
>>53484993
If you have the money to get the bigger one, just do it. Nothing is worse than getting a popup saying you can't play x game because there's not enough space for an update.

is this a good SSD?
>>53484993
depends on your needs. If you're not a gamer you should be fine

>falling for the ssd meme

EPIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been using a 60GB SSD (I picked it over a 128GB same price one because of both 500MB/s R/W) and I never used more then half even with my software on the SSD. (Games and media on HDD)
>amazon charges 6 bucks for sata cables you can get for 60 cents on monoprice
THE FUCK

Wouldn't games on HDD defeat purpose of SSD?
>>53485649
I could get a 2TB SSD for all the games, if I get a smaller one and copy the games on-off all the time I want to play something else I would kill the SSD pretty quickly, having just the system and software on the SSD speeds up the systems.
PS: Difference for games is only the loading time, witch already is fine on a fast defragmented HDD.

120GB is fine, keep your OS and programs on it and use your HDD for storage
Depends on the OS.
Windows uses a lot of space and then 120gb is really small.
If you use linux, it might be enough.
If you dualboot, I would recommend that you use a bigger one.

>Windows, office, photoshop, browsers, messengers, media players, drivers, pagefile and temp.
>Still not using over 40GB
Just get 120 and buy the 1tb drive when it's cheaper

>>53484993
That is a question only you can answer. We don't have a botnet monitoring you
Are you installing games on it? Otherwise, 120 is probably good.
>>53486024
And yet this will not use more than 10GB on linux.
>>53486216
If you put /home and /etc on other drives, sure
>>53486246
The home folder is for user data, etc is for settings.
/etc/ is like 10 MB.
The folder that might take up a lot of space is the /var folder which keeps a lot of things, including packages and logs...
I am not saying that everyone could live on a 10GB drive, but it is possible.
I'm saving up for 500gb for my Steam folder. It just depends on your use.
I have a 240GB SSD and I've only got 30GBs left. I have a ton of music files though.
I wish I had gotten 500 GBs, but it's a t420s so I think I'll just buy a mSATA SSD for additional storage.
Only a fucking fool would even consider a 128, the different in price is $10-20.
You shouldn't be spending above $70-80 anyways, and that includes something like an 850 evo

Is Adata good ? Is it a reliable brand ?
>>53487041
No. Samsung, Intel, crucial, sandisk are the ones you should buy. Just wait for deals.
