Is 25 inches too small for a 1440p monitor?
Thinking about getting pic related since it's the best priced 1440p monitor i can find but i'm not sure about the size.
i currently have a 27" 1080p
Too small? No. Bigger is usually fine with higher resolutions, but 25 is an OK size imho
Is 23 in. too big for 1080p?
I recently finished putting my budget build together and im waiting on the monitor. The jump for 1440 i couldnt handle.

no...my 27 inch 1080p is still decent but i do want higher resolution.

I have one, it's okay... I would've rather spent the money on a high end ultrawide or high end 1080p monitor.

25" is fine. how much are you paying for this?

i've considered ultrawides too but apparently 29 inch ultra wide is too small, since it has the height of a 23 or 24 inch 16:9 monitor.
and the 34 inch ones are really expensive. not to mention the problems that certain games and applicatons have with 21:9

the problem is there aren't really "high end" 1080p panels out there. no ips 1080p 144hz to be found because industry is moving on to higher resolutions.
shitty time to buy a monitor because we're transitioning between 1080p and 4k standards atm

$370 CAD which is $280 USD
i'm also considering this one, newegg has a refurbished one for $410 cad or $308 usd. it's 27 inch and has more features

right, but that's why i think 1440p is a good middleground.
4k is too hard to run games at without spending a fortune and 1440p is still quite a bit better than 1080

Was my reasoning for getting a u2515h as well. It'll last a long time like my last one and there's still no good scaling for 2160p. At 25inches 1440 is still usable for everything apart from a couple of programs, scaling a few programs is much more manageable than trying to rely on global scaling.

You're correct, other poster is dumb.
The difference between 4k and 1440p on a 25" screen is negligible, 4k just means you'll have to use scaling

I'm very happy with 1440p on 25" (use it for programming). I would even buy a higher resolution on 25" in the future....

23 is about as high as I would go for computer viewing distances.
I'm getting that monitor tomorrow. I currently have a U2414h, but I meed a second monitor and I'd like it to be 1440p. The dell U2515h costs $100 more in my country. Both use the same panel and I don't really care about VESA mount or height adjustment.

nice, now i'm just trying to decide if i should get that one or the refurbished ASUS PB278Q here >>53485605
i'm leaning towards the asus but i'm not sure if refurbished would be worth it or not
