All browsers use a lot of RAM to work properly, Chromium based browsers will give up RAM when other Apps need it.
You can start any chromium based browser with "--single-process" but thats will mean that if any of your tabs or addons/extensions crash your whole browser will go down not just that tab/extension.
But it will work a bit faster as there is no need for interprocess comunication and syncronization.
