How do you permanently store 300-500 GB of data in a way that is recoverable after natural disaster, burglary, solar storms, government raids, 1-10 years of no electricity, fire, etc?
SD cards spread around in various places?
I do not wish to lose my music library and dank meme images and documents

Those are not mini-disks, right?

I don't think there is anything remotely safe like that, what if there's an event that causes no electricity for a long duration of time?
I heard something like printing a few important pictures on photo paper (4x6) that mean everything to you in a tiny album, in a case that's already pre-packed for emergencies.
I have never made a backup in my life, I just save the very few actually important files I ever need on an USB stick in the rare occasions when I need them. I wouldn't miss anything else even if my PC exploded.

2. backup to local computer
3. backup to local laptop
4. backup to local nas
5. backup to local usb stick
6. backup to local usb/hdd to fireproof/waterproof safe
7. get in car
8. drive to bank
9. put 3rd usb into safety deposit box at local bank
obviously all usb-sticks/hdds are encrypted
take one new picture
repeat steps 1 thru 9
also for extra precautions, you would have to store another usbstick at a different bank in another city/state just in case there was a natural disaster in your city. would be bad if a flood happened and destroyed your house and the bank.
>>53468603
>not doing backups in batches

store your backups at local bank
bank closes
natural disasters & banks going bankrupt happens way more than an extremely popular cloud service. want to be paranoid? encrypt files first
