Holy shit
>Android M has the feature of making your sd card your internal storage
Why wasn't I aware of this
Fuck you Link2SD
>>
>2016 not having a custom rom with a unified storage layout
>needing chink botnet apps for that
>>

Where is this option
>>
>>53465849
Storage>SD Card>Format to Internal

Also, when you put the sd card in your phone it notifies you, and there's the "setup" option too

I mean, it's pretty easy, literally anyone can do this without fucking up
>>
>>53465812
>oh wow, now i will totally change from 4.4
>i think the best idea is to spend as much money on a flagship as possible, samsung™®© has nice phones that sure aint overpriced.

Waiting til 6 can run on a <100€ phone fluently(aka:hardware gets cheaper) , then ill update.
>>
>>53466724
i bought a second hand S4 a year ago for AU$140 (~95 euro) which runs 6.0.1 perfectly, if that counts
>>
>>53466817
Absolutely! You made a very good deal. I wish more people would care more about their money.

I don't hate samsung for being samsung, i just hate high prices on consumer tech, that has no quality and will be shit in 3 years, or less.
>>
>>53466895
i don't think i'll be needing a new phone for some time, this S4, despite technically being several models old, has pretty rediuculous specs for a cellphone

custom roms are buggy as fuck
>>
what costume rom in should use with my samsung s5 neo?
>>
>>53465812
I'm using that feature because it's the only way to encrypt your microSD, works well.
>>
>>53465923
Not according to shitsung. They locked out the feature.
>>
>>53468365
You are buggy af
>>
>>53468365

So you have used the hundreds of android phones that are in the market today, rooted them, and used them for a decent amount of time to make the blanket statement that they are all buggy?

Oh wait, no you haven't. Cyanogenmod is a pretty decent ROM if your phone has official builds. I actually trust CM over the ATT stock ROM that would force close the dialer everytime I ended a call on my One X.

As soon as cyanogenmod 13 fixes the wifi calling bug for my g900t and the overheating problem and the Bluetooth problems, will I then finally start using something near stock Android.

Until then, I'll stick with touchjizz

Rooted and had this since 2012 and it works fine for games which were the biggest data suckers for me
>>
It's a poorly executed option as if you don't use it you still need to format the SD card either way and you can't access the information stored on it without removing it from the phone.
>>
>>53470857
Can't you just make a new partition and use just that, like with Link2SD?
>>
>>53466817
Welcome to S4 masterrace, last samsung phone with replaceable battery. I have s4+ with snapdragon 800 and i got it for 150euro years ago.
>>
>>53465812
I sampled it on my rom when marshmallow was still a preview. It fucked up my SD card real bad.
>>
>>53468530
Samsung users confirmed babies

I'm no physics expert but I'm quite certain the transfer rate is not as good as some internal memory. This is the reason I thought the s6 had ddr5 which is odd considering the negligible increase of speed of desktop when considering ddr4 vs ddr5.
>>
>>53471015
The s5 had a replaceable battery, SD card slot, water resistance, more ram, better cpu/gpu, better camera, and a better screen, asshat.
>>
>>53471219
Sorry I meant ddr3 vs 4
>>
>>53471240
>had
yeah well it doesnt seem to have it anymore
>>
>>53471219
The S6 has DDR4 memory because it is more efficient

The S6's NAND is faster than most microSD cards and I imagine using this combined interface could such for phones that actually use decent NAND quality like the S6. Most Android phones use dogshit NAND though that only reads at 50MB/s.
>>
>>53471256
I'm pretty sure that samsung didn't recall all the s5's and seal the backs, jackass.
