Worth getting one of these?
Currently running a R7 260X 1Gb. I can't really afford spending a lot, so second hand I can get one of these for about £85.
If you're not looking at 1440p, it's a pretty viable card for gaming. Just be prepared to turn some settings down.
Hell, it can even do 1440p, just not amazingly.

Currently gaming on 1080p.
Some way in the future I'd like to get a 4k screen, but wouldn't game at this resolution. Probably set the game to 1080p again. It'd not look terrible as it'd map fairly ok.
Where are you getting yours? I want one but I'm not sure if I should buy a used card. I plan on using it with dual 2560x1440, running a game on one and browser on the other, could it handle this?
Also, can it handle 10-bit anime or does the CPU do that?

7970 does need a lot more juice to run i think so check your psu first

Why? The 280 is a rebranded 7950 and less powerful than this card.

I just ordered a 2 gig 7770 GHz and seeing as my monitor is 1440x900 (>inb4 meme resolution) it handles everything fairly well including most games.
Considering this card is a few steps up from the one I ordered, and that your monitor is a slightly higher resolution but not enough to break a card, it should perform better than mine which is satisfactory.

At least 2 GB, it could run games like Mass Effect on that resolution (Ran ME3 on a 670 in 4K myself) but DO NOT expect any 2015 title work. If you get the 1 GB most games will shutter due to VRAM limitation.

It is kind of a shit station, I'm a poorfag, but it works damn well considering some of the hardware is older than a child capable of basic four function math.
