How do you get stuff, then?
>>53457117
Buying it, in cash, wearing a fedora to hide my face from the security cameras, not having my smartphone (tracking device) with me at time of purchase, then consuming the media at home on an airlocked computer.
Private AND legal.

>Vivaldi
Why?
Since you're from /b/, you probably use Chrome
Then you want Iridium with a few privacy addons, specifically PrivacyBadger, HTTPS Everywhere, and uBlock
You want to download Fanboys+Easylist Ultimate merged list for uBlock, you will find it in uBlock's settings
If you use Firefox then get Firefox with the same addons, you will need to disable Hello and Pocket

It is unlikely you will be tracked through your browser. The most important thing you can do when torrenting in regards to privacy is connect through a VPN. If you haven't done that, go ahead and get one now.
If you have already set up a VPN, Firefox is sufficient, use some privacy addons for piece of mind. Use Tor if you want to get serious about your privacy.

What VPN do I get?
>>53456989
i Reported you because you made me want to report you.
>>53459566
Thanks. I love you too.
>>53456989
just don't seed and your isp won't notice. browser don't care what torrent site you visit unless its cp or some shit
is it safe to install themes for firefox?
>>53459803
yea the best one is disdick
>>53459789
Is just leeching off a file then closing the torrent safe, even if I'm not on VPN?
>>53459877 i got caught torrenting by my isp once. it was when i accidentally left it running and it seeded for like 7 hours. even so it was just bs letter 'someone on your network downloaded copyrighted material please don't do it again'
>>53459945
How often to do you torrent?
>>53459951
not often just the occasional movie/series every few months. it casual but if you plan on doing a lot more than that a vpn is probably a good investment
>>53459991
I don't really ever go for movies/music - streams always satisfy me there. It's pretty much all games/programs/books
>>53460008
your fine then dl qBittorrent and peerblocker and dont let it seed
>>53460008
and space them out a bit. your isp will throttle you down if they notice a shit ton of downloading but wont go further than that, seeding is how they get you
>>53459541
I use PIA, it is fairly cheap and comes highly reccomended. I find the connection to be unreliable at times. I am considering experimenting with something else when my subscription runs out.
>>53460126
Alright, thanks. qBittorrent specifically, or do other (Deluge) programs work?
>>53460162
it's my preference give it a try
