If you said no to any of these, then do not buy. Otherwise buy them, because metal and plastic do not change key travel of the switch, only weight does.

You're going to change your 50g uniform (or 45g, etc) to slightly lighter on each switch capped with a metal keycap. There's just no reason to buy them.
