I don't know who else to ask for help so here goes:
I recently formatted my HDD and now I can no longet install my monitor driver.
It's an old-ass LG E1941SX that I've had for over 4 years now. It's VGA only and I know it sucks but I really can't afford a new one right now.
I went to LG Support's website and got the recommended drivers there. I tried installing it via device manager and even though it says everything's fine, my video card still doesn't see it as an actual monitor and there are thousands of resolutions to pick from.
Is there something like a program to automatically install said drivers without me having to scavenge around?
Any help?

Yes, but there are other things I can't do without a proper driver.
For example, I can't force my monitor to control the scaling for fullscreen applications. I need that to make classic StarCraft look normal and not stretched out as the GPU makes it.

I think you are looking for the GPU drivers... There is no way a monitor driver could have any effect on scaling. Especially not over VGA.

Fix your gpu through its own drivers then. My last the computers have had options for scaling built into the driver manager.

I have a GeForce GTX 550ti and I just updated it's driver to try and solve this very problem, anon
You can see in that screenshot that the monitor is seen as a generic plug-n-play device
It's in portuguese, but I don't think that makes a lot of difference

As you can see, I can only use the video (or GPU) to force the scaling. There used to be a monitor option here which would make it so that programs that run in lower resolutions would not appear stretched and out of place.

Have you tried going through the menus on your monitor itself? That's another option.

Try ticking the alternative scaling methods. It might get you the result you want even if it does it in the GPU.
Also what's up with you choosing 1366x768 but the driver saying native is 1024x768?
