... you used some goddamned Scosche 4-way below shit tier speakers in this thing. Don't get me wrong here, me and the installers at nearly every shop I've ever worked at built our own shop radios similar to this one, but at the very least we used better quality speakers and a decent grade of wood. At least a coax with a soft dome tweeter or something if you're going to do it like this.
And we definitely didn't paint it faggoty like this.

If I'm rehousing a guitar amp (Roland Jazz Chorus 77, see pic) would it be more ideal to put the main components separate from the speakers? Sorta like a cab/head type deal. Or does that only really matter for tube amps due to the vibrations from the speakers fucking with the tubes?

Honestly, your best bet would be to find that exact enclosure and move the components to it unless you can build a new enclosure with the same amount of space in it. Change the amount of space you're presenting to the speaker and you can change the way it sounds.
