Ordered a Google cardboard for a couple bucks today, should be here in a week or so. Any advice? I figure if it is garbage, it was just 2 dollars anyways. I have a Samsung s6 edge if that matters. Any of yall tried this meme?
it's fun for about 30min

This.
It's fun to mess around with for a while but it's nothing more than just a cash grab for Google.

Good for a virtual reality fap once in a while but other than that nah

I want to try that but I live in 3rd world country, and the only way to have something like that is to make it myself.
How strong are the lenses?
In diopter at least?

Just search it up on any search engine

>for Google
Google released the design without a patent, numbnuts.

I wouldn't know. I bought a Moto G and it doesn't have a gyroscope so I can't use Google Cardboard and I have two viewers.

>Lenses of 40mm have diopter of 20 D
Where do I find an optician that will do that for me?
Do binoculars have such magnification?
>>53409480
It's a focal length of 48-50mm.

Do you know how to measure focal length?

how's the text on that shit?
i've been wanting a tiny screen to use vim on for a while, but i've always thought it would be totally unusable, even @ 640*480

Go to vr porn thread in /t/ and start downloading.
If you like the cardboard but cannot stand the smell and feeling, buy a bobovr z3 for <20$. Gear VR optics for 1/5 the price.
Though with your phone I would buy a Gear VR today.
Getting a free Gear VR today with my S7e
ayy
okay for a try, glasses make it hard to use, and IMO it's easier to get motion sickness than something like the PSVR
Is there any cardboard for nexus 7?
Bought chink one from eBay.
Bretty gud familia

>640*480
nah that will hurt
I tried on a 4.5" 1280x720 and 5" 1920x1080 phone, you will still see those pixels because they are hugely magnified by the lenses
it's fun for playing around and looking at a few demos, but nowhere usable in "production" imo
Got one from eBay for 1$
