970 Ti sample spotted on pcmark
should it be a first showing of pascal?
The first maxwell card to hit the market was actually a 700 series.
maybe nvidia releasing a cut down pascal that *almost* beats a 980 but not quite, with an actual full 4gb of vram?

Or maybe:

if I had titled this shit AMD BTFO AGAIN or some other nonsense, the thread would've blown up.
Shit head.
>>53372629
isn't it a bit weird to be launching this so far into the generation?
>>53372629
Where would a 970 Ti be priced? $400?
>>53373126
Same as a 970, 970 phased out, 970 ti replaces it
same as 560 ti and 660 ti and so on
>>53372629
Well this explains why my GTX 970 has lost so much performance lately. They're planning to bury the 970 and release the refreshed version with Pascal.
>>53373256
Maybe there will be an upgrade Program. You know give people a Ti when they bring their old 970. Of course you have to pay something. It would still be nice.
>>53373369
Nah only EVGA does that and only within 90 days.
>>53373256
>le gimped drivers meme
So true! XD
>>53373369
Well, i'm from Brazil. I'm fucked regardless(as usual).

How late into 700~ did the 750 Ti Launch? Besides that, Maxwell has lasted a long time. Actually I'm not sure any other architecture has lasted so long.
>>53372629
do they even make 3.5gb HBM?
>>53372629
It was leaked months back
It's just another GM204 variation with 4gb of VRAM but less shaders. There's some debate if it's 1664, 1792, or 1920. Most are leaning towards 1792.
Btw in the worst case for Nvidia, this means Charlie was right
>>53373742
Underrated.
>>53372629
700 series maxwell was a different architecture baka
>>53373881
lol wow
>>53373881
charlie who?
>next gen card
>number lower than current gen card
Why?????
>>53373962
I don't see how that couldn't apply here as well.
3,5gb rebrand

Did you forget the GCN still exists?
380X uses the same GCN 1.0 that the 7970 used. Still highly competitive.
Nvidia doesn't have shit for lasting architectures.
>>53374197
Wow yeah, had forgotten about that. Fug
>>53374197
>380X uses the same GCN 1.0 that the 7970 used.
Except it doesn't, the 380X is GCN 1.2.
