I'm starting to hate the future. Is there any new phone with a removable battery coming soon so I can upgrade from my Galaxy S5?

What's wrong with the galaxy s5?
Is removable battery that important these days?
>>53362694
fast charging crap kills batteries, being able to replace it allows for long lifespan of the phone

I had the note 4, the battery life was pretty shitty. I used to always carry around another battery to make it through the day, I recently bought iPhone 6 plus and it lasts me all day without a charge. If the battery health falls below 80%, apple replaces it for me.
If you've never had an iPhone try it out.

This. I thought the point of a removable battery was to replace it after a while so you can keep using the same phone, so why upgrade?

Nothing, really. My camera lens is cracked so I can't take good pictures.
LG has kept replaceable batteries as a feature, even making it even easier with the g5, literally pops out of the phone accessory port, and i've heard they even pack in a 2nd battery
Fucking love my v10

>phone with a removable battery
why do you care? if your s5 suffering from a bad battery already? if you're looking to upgrade so soon clearly battery endurance is not an issue. unless you use your phone 24/7 and get those hilarious huge batteries.. or get lots of power outages which in either case a battery pack is more convenient to haul around a lot of the time.
what battery capacity are you looking for? what life span?

This.
It was the reason I got one in the first place. Shit's a pretty stellar phone besides just for the manual controls on the camera.

For me, it's the principle of the matter: technology will wither eventually, fail to live up to the tasks it's meant to perform and break as the components age. Soldering in the battery, however, makes my phone a ticking time bomb with about 3 years to work with before it starts shitting the bed. It's nothing more than planned obsolescence hiding behind the guise of improving form factor.
I never removed my original battery in 3 years of owning my galaxy s3, but the fact that I could is important to me. If I'm going to sit in a walled garden with no removable battery (and in many cases no removable storage), I might as well buy ishit.

I agree with you.
Get a fairphone.

can't kids get a torx set and remove one? Warranty will be over when your battery starts to fail, so no problem there.
