AMD makes at TSMC, so they are going to totally destroy Intel.
>>53358614
>40% increase over something with terrible IPC
>still way below haswell, which came out literally 4 years ago
W O W

>implying it's not %55-75 now that they've had an extra year to fine tune it.

>>53358705
You got me.
>>53358752
Feels good man
>inb4 this is just a bullshitdozer at 5ghz 24 meme core clock and 150megawatt TDP
kek i cant wait for my entire house to catch fire next time i build a amd gaming rip
>>53358639
AMD makes at GloFo and Samsung. Nvidia will use TSMC.
>>53358860
I'm more interested in the damage control from /g/'s AMD cult than anything else when it turns out to be just yet another piece of overhyped amd crap that doesn't deliver, like everything they've put out since the pre-bulldozer era.
>>53358614
Any more recent price/performance graph like this one?
>>53358614
>no labels on Y axis
nice try
>>53358614
Intel is finished again? Just the other day, there was a thread about AMD being finished. I guess no one will be making CPUs any more.
>>53359069
If that happens then I'll just go with Skylake senpai :^)
>>53359194
Important to consider though that the big advantage of the Pentiums, namely single thread performance won't be as important for games using next-gen APIs like Vulkan. Is there one of these that focuses on multithreaded performance per dollar?
>>53359246
Some games won't even launch on dual core CPU's anymore so the Pentium are just a meme.
>>53359194
So intel should be considered only for very bottom and very top of the line builds?
>>53359175
look again
AMD Zen = 8350 at 10ghz with a shit IPC and a i3 6gen rekts the FX hahahahha poorfag
>>53359246
>single thread performance won't be as important for games using next-gen APIs like Vulkan
Can you stop spouting this bullshit? You have no idea what you're talking about. Besides of course the chart is on multithreaded peformance, are you retarded?
>>53358614
Intel is set till like 2023 with its tick tock development model
I am really curious what Intel will do when it can no longer shrink die size anymore
>>53358614
>Intel is bankrupt
Really? Really?
>>53359455
intel has already abandoned tick-tock
t. kaby lake
>>53359497
ayy waddup old man, how's it going? logicalincrements keeping you busy?
>>53359817
>intel has already abandoned tick-tock
technically it just tweaked the model, its still overall planning for shrinking die size overtime. As long as it sticks to that plan it still has an edge
>>53359497
I see you didn't get the memo. Bankrupt now means 'there is something that hinders their world domination maybe'
It's dead in the water if it's not as efficient as Haswell at least. The real profit is in the mobile market.
>>53359194
This is way more accurate. Fx 6300 and the pentium are truly great values
I am sure Zen based CPUs will be higher priced than Intel's equivalents.
They need to get some money back into the box for research.
Intel's CPUs on the other hand are all very matured.
>>53359069
The only ones overhyping it are the dumbshit fanboys on the internet.
Every single day there are retards here claiming that AMD is going to give them 12-16 cores for less than the price of a mainstream i7. A bunch of redditors think Zen will have serial performance on par with Broadwell. All of this is pure absurdity.
Summit Ridge only has 8 cores, and IPC will be around Sandy Bridge. AMD fanboys collectively do untold amounts of harm to AMD's own reputation.
