What does /g/ you do to protect your eyes from nonstop screen watching ?
Especially those who have IT jobs
Manually blinking my eyes.
Maintaining consciousness with blinking.
I shitpost
>>53342978
I don't need to, superior genetics
my eyes are already fucked from SNES obsession as a child.
Bump. I need know too.
>>53342978
Flux helps
Nothing, just fuck my shit up. My eyes get so dry sometimes that when I wake up in the morning my eyelids rip off a layer of my eyeball.
>>53343684
OP here, I use f.lux, visine for tired eyes and a Vitamin A+ Zinc + Lutein+otherStuff supplements, but still my eyes cant keep up
>>53343684
This
>inb4 it looks like piss lel xD
>>53343700
Those double digits confirm the snake eyes, the days I spend more than 12 hours looking at the monitor, my eyes get encrusted. Fucking horrible, always scratching the eyes making it worse in the end but relieving temporarily.
Pic related, my eyes are obliterated.
>>53342978
dark themes, screen not too bright.
>>53342978
f.lux
I just turn down the brightness and use dark themes, though I only started doing that recently. No idea how I still have perfect 20/20 vision
>>53342978
I use dark backgrounds
Turn down screen brightness
Use F.lux or Redshift if you feel it's necessary
that night shift mode on iOS 9.3 is fucking dank.
I eat a kilo of carrots a day. I don't know if it's helping or if I just have good genes for my eyes.
>>53342978
are there some glasses that make your eyes focus 'further' ?
>>53344133
Your body only takes a very finite necessary vitamin from carrots that actually does something to the eyes, all excess is not processed. You are placeboing yoursef.
I don't need glasses, but my vision feels like a old TV screen.
I use Gunnar glasses, they are great. They help with muh gayming too. Also I have a pee fetish so that's a plus.
>>53343899
Dubs chain!!
Dark themes everywhere I can (Firefox is the best when it comes to this), decreased brightness, Sunsetscreen (cause f.lux is shit in comparison) and not using a fucking CRT piece of garbage like the rest of the luddites here on /g/.
F.lux is set to max 24/7; sounds annoying but you quickly stop noticing
>>53343899
Your eyes look pretty normal to me
>he doesn't wear hacker glasses
>>53342978
Nothing.
In fact I even have a shitty monitor. And as of recently, astigmatism. I'm going to get glasses soon.
>>53343899
Congrats on double dubs. Peace be with you
literally nothing. don't even use dark backgrounds because one of my monitors has a horrible scan lines issue on dark screens
>>53343899
Thanks for the info, retard!
>>53342978
Work as a gardener for a few years and your vision will restore if it's not genetics.
I have a red LED bulb behind my monitors,it look sort of edgy which sucks, but it makes looking at my monitors much easier.
What I really want is a bulb that changes with the primary color my monitor is displaying.
I went to home depot and they had colorchanging bulbs but they were extremely expensive compared to my $4 bulb, and patently they would not sync with my monitors.
Also fuck flux, it looks bad, I did not spend $900 on monitors to fuck it up for a meme

Nothing. Started at 11, almost 20 now. Eyesight still perfect.
Not sit in a dark room staring at a bright screen.

You guys fucked up
>>53348556
>using glasses to prevent having to use glasses
Staring at a screen does not affect your eyesight... it's just a myth!
>>53344036
This and the 20-20-20 rule.
As an opticien:
Get the cheapest non perscription glasses they deliver that have a blue clean treatment.
Get Flux, or get a 15% greyscale treatment on the glasses as well.
Those two alone will help get rid of the majority of your eye pain.
The last resort is FL-41 glasses which are specifically made for people that are photosensitive and get migraines from too much light, but those aren't the cheapest.
>>53351773
Exactly. What affects it, it's the fact that you don't exercise your long-distance sight enough.
That's why once every about 20 mins you should take a brief pause and try to look distant.
>>53351773
Wrong. Staring too much and too long to close by objects is harmful for your eyes. That's why it's advised to give your eyes a few minutes rest into "infinite" (above 10+ meters) away from the screen every hour.
