Easy.

I use XMedia Recode, but since people are memeing about ffmpeg I'll have to give it a try.

Do any of you use a front-end for your ffmpeg or do you run it all through terminal?
I had to find a front-end to make batch jobs easier, so far it's working out okay.
>>53343254
You'll get shitty results if you don't specify bitrate and CRF values.
>>53343322
No front ends, just terminal for me.
>>53343591
How do you manage batch jobs?
>>53343322
If people are using ffmpeg, they're using ffmepg. If they were using anything else on top or besides, they'd say that, wouldn't they.
And anyway, why would you want to use a GUI? It's a single line.

It can really speed up some stuff like cutting parts of the video, batch processing multiple files not to mention handling more complex containers than webm etc. Thing is, there's no front-end for ffmpeg I know that could host all the features I need. GUI would also help you learn faster what kind of options do you have with a given media file/library/codec. Right now I just keep using some presets for whatever I'm encoding, Googling the encoding guides when I'm using a new format, sometimes using another application with GUI to quickly cut or merge video files, play back the media files with another application and then just trial and error with the commands in ffmpeg to get a result I want. Using ffmpeg is super simple but still often time consuming.
