What does /g/ think is the best budget smartphone?

Personally I think the Moto /g/ (3rd gen) and ZTE Warp Elite are very good choices. The ZTE is cheaper but the Moto /g/ (3rd gen) will work with most GSM carriers and you can install a custom ROM. I can't decide which one is better.

Anyway, let's have a poll.

lol whoops, meant to say Boost Mobile
>>
Moto G 3rd Gen is the best between these two. Other good options in this price category are Xperia Aqua, Xiaomi Mi4, OneplusX
>>
The zte phone has pretty decent specs for the price but I'm gonna have to side with the moto g for rom support. sorry vomit chan
>>
The zte looks like a better option. Better battery life and bigger screen for a cheaper price. I like that.

I like the boost mobile plans but I still think the moto g is better.

I know, this is a poll. I'm not buying anything atm. I just wanted to know what /g/ considers the best budget smartphone to be.

For real though this. I'm surprised an x86 atom is providing all that juice.
>>
Which budget smartphone has the best camera/video capabilities?
>>
>>53065132
Your literally looking at them. not sure if the zte is worth being locked with nigger mobile for life though.
>>
Depends on what your limit is. I've seen the Xiaomi Mi4 for around $240, which is amazing for a flagship phone from just last year.
>>
The moto g has been and always will be the best budget smartphone.
>>
>>53065155
Huawei P8 Lite destroys them with camera capability though, plus its an 8 core with 2GB RAM

>>53065503

I don't trust them anymore. The zte is still cheaper anyway.

$250 is 'budget' to me
>>

Good for you. Most of us can barely afford a $100 smartphone and get cucked to death by contracts instead.
>>
The best budget smartphone is a used Nexus 4.
Why buy some cheap crap when I can get flagship quality for even less?

Can't really beat Xiaomi for budget phones. I got a Redmi 1s a year and a half ago and it still works perfectly. Beautiful screen, good camera, very responsive with zero lag, removable battery and microsd slot etc.

Sure it doesn't have any fancy features like finger print scanner and I won't be able to go for a swim and take selfies underwater with it, but it does everything I need it to and for 100 quid i really did get the best bang for my buck.

Moto /g/ of course

Lg G Stylo. Virgin/T-Mobile variant.
>2gb ram
>16gb internal storage, up to 64gb added
>3k mah removable battery
>5.7" 720p screen
>snapdragon 410 quad core
>android 5.1.1
>13mp camera rear/5mp front

Cost me $200 at the door.
>>
>>53065563
>Huawei
>I don't trust them anymore

Why?
>>
Ive heard the Stylo is pretty sluggishly slow, so-so build quality, and the big screen drains the that battery fairly quickly. I also think that its too big.
>>
>>53070951

Virgin is a CDMA provider that gets their network access courtesy of Sprint, the T-Mobile Stylo has no CDMA support so no, what you meant to say was you go the T-Mobile/MetroPCS version of the Stylo which has 2GB of RAM - all other variants only have 1GB of RAM.
>>
>>53071058

It's not sluggish at all if you get the T-Mobile/MetroPCS variant I just mentioned above which has 2GB of RAM - the 1GB models do get a bit sluggish depending on what you're doing at times. The 5.5" display is 1280x720 and it does not hog battery life at all. Last time I owned a Stylo (the 2GB model) I was getting a solid 8+ hours of SOT with regular usage between charges (like once every 36 hours at most, typically went 48 hours or more before a recharge).

The tiny bezels because of LG putting the control buttons on the back ensure that it doesn't feel like a 5.5" display model in the hand but it is.

It's a great device, with a sensitive stylus unlike any other ever made for any other device really (capacitive displays), fucking crazy sensitive.

The 2GB model is a rock solid device overall.
>>
>>53071122
Whoops sorry yea. Get those confused. Metro or T-Mobile
>>
After a love-hate relationship, I love my OnePlus X. I need to get one of those dbrand skins tho

Glass back is slippery and gets dirty as fuck
>>
>>53071192
All of this and then some. I love my stylo. Root and TWRP recovery is available for both MetroPCS/T-Mobile versions on XDA forums.
>>
>>53071261
So after all this crap how is the battery?
>>
>>53064361
for anyone who has the warp elite, how is the camera?

I have a zte phone and the camera is kinda laggy while moving around and recording video.
