In my mind. I use dice words and they're easy to remember.

encrypted text files
the built-in password manager on certain applications (firefox, thunderbird etc...)
keyring on lugnix
keychain on os x

I actually use lastpass premium, thanks op.

I'm using lastpass but is it me or the browser plugin keep getting shittier and shittier?

Password Store. Cross platform compatible, open source, your passwords are stored with git encrypted with your pgp key. Works perfectly.
>>
>>53015672
I just started using KeePassX for linux about 2 weeks ago. It's the only password management tool I tried, and I find it really easy to use. I approve of it in general.

I write them on my dick with a sharpie. No one ever looks at my genitals so they remain a secret and I never bathe or shower so the ink never comes off. the downside is I can't make my passwords very long
>>
>>53016852
I should add that when I was choosing it, I was only considering options that stored passwords locally instead of the cloud. This was probably paranoid for someone with my needs, but that's the criteria I had at the time.

write them down desu

it was supposed to be a joke

to all the people using dice words, you know that the guy brute forcing can just write the words down and try all the combinations of them right? Can't take that long if you know that your password will consist of 6 words in the dice list
>>
Is there any open-source solution with auto-login plugin in the browser?

That's the selling point feature I'm looking for ages and the reason why I won't stop using lastpass.

If they also work on mobile then they actually beat lastpass because I'm not premium.
>>
is there any good ones that work on the phone like lastpass? Wanting to ditch them but a lot of the open source ones dont have android support.
>>
>>53017035
honestly though, what's wrong with it?
>>
>>53017098
keepassdroid, you can sync the database with owncloud
>>
>>53017073
>7500^6 combinations
Yeah sure. Bruteforce that shit.
>>
>>53017094

with KeePass you can just double click the username or password tab to automatically copy it

you also don't need to pay 12 USD per year for mobile access

t. still have 200 days left of my LastPass premium suscription but I tried KeePass and instantly abandoned LastPass
>>
>>53017154
What's the t. for? Is it like the new t b h?

>Giving away your passwords to google.
>What's wrong with it?

>>53017154
No, no, no.
If I have to keep a second windows open and copy past, no selling.

with lastpass:
>I go to shit.org
>lastpass auto-fill the form
>auto-validate the form
>the page isn't even finished loading I'm already logged in.

If I can't do that with open-source. No selling.
We don't need more toys project, we need shit that works.

Yes, that's the question. I imagine they use some type of public key encryption between the browser and their database

But there is no protecting between database and google.
Nor between google and the NSA.

Kindly reminder that 100% of Google revenue comes from spying on people.

I kind of built my own version of last pass.

I use a keepass database with a few plugins.
One plugin for Yubikey OTP second factor
One plugin to sync with my OwnCloud server
One plugin for browser intergration

I use keepass2droid to view the database on my phone and sync with OwnCloud. And the yubikey neo lets me do the second factor over NFC.

do the same, except use a keyfile for that second factor, since i don't have a yubikey.

also don't like the mono dependency on loonix for keepass2, so just use keepassx with no plugins available for that.

Passwords manager are supposed to make my life easier. I want open-source. I'm full freetard. But people that make open-source tools must understand that usability matters.
If they can't do something as simple as that then it's pure useless garbage and the cucks at lastpass wins.
