wow this thing is shit, I have a 61.1GB file and this thing only compressed it to 58.3GB and it took forever, I waited that long for this shitty compression?

Not everything can be significantly compressed lad. You won't be able to compress an H264 video as much as a TIFF image file. This is why FLAC blows. You're probably trying to compress something that has already been partially compressed.

I've ran into the same problem and using another program like winrar won't do jack shit.

265 is a thing now

Give it a few years anon. 264 is probably still better at the moment but not for long

That fucking dog

it's a game GTA 5

dude, use KGB Archive

So does your mom and she resists compression even more.

How dare you insult someone who got trips, kill yourself.

that will make a difference? I can compress my 60GB file to something much smaller?
>>
>>52626237
Nah, he's just trolling. GTA V is already partially compressed.
>>
>>52626260
KGB Archiver is the compression tool with unbelievable high compression rate. It surpasses even such efficient compression tool like 7zip and UHARC in terms of the abilities.
is this true though?
>>
use arj
>>
>>52623923
Why do you use archive programs? You can find all of your data in pi number!
>>
>>52626308
>
Is this actually true?
>>
>>52626398
This is entirely untrue and will soon be reported as such. I shouldn't say this but I'm drunk and fuck it. I know too much.
>>
>>52626478
Yes, you can also compress a 5 TB movie into 5kB if you use that shadowzip program or whatever it's called.
>>
>>52626522
its true, its like the library of babel, everything is in it somewhere
>>
>>52626867
Prove it.

>inb4 infinite without repeating
Doesn't mean that every pattern appears in it.
>>
>>52626398
>>52626867
On average, the index to the digit where a sequence starts will have roughly the same amount of digits as said sequence, so you gain absolutely nothing, and now have to deal with bignums. What a gain.

someone should work on an asic for this

n * 10^-x is somewhere in pi
computers store everything as numbers
thus all information is in pi

>>52627726
oh that... stinks
>>
>>52627835
Normalise x and n such that n is integer
If n * 10^-x is somewhere in a random-ish stream, it will on average be where n/x ~= 1
>>
>>52623923
> not using UHARC
Oh anon
>>
>>52627787
Nope. You can have an infinitely non-repeating sequence of integers that doesn't contain the digit 1.
>>
>>52625635
GTA V has a lot of videos due to cutscenes. Videos do not compress well. It's not the fault of the compression program, that's just how it is, friend
>>

you are an idiot.

You can't expect all data to compress the same

Yes. I have GTA 5 on my floppy disk

The cutscenes are not videos, just scripts

lrzip was made exactly for this kind of thing. It can also compress directories with TAR wrapper.
