Used this, though I'm going back to using a regular phone for calling people now and just using a computer for all the shit that I would have used a smartphone for plus texting as carrying a small laptop is more efficient for getting shit done. Even monitoring a couple threads on 4chan from my phone was so frustratingly bad that I'd rather carry a laptop for the times when I want to shitpost on the go.

Google keyboard, nice swiping and shit.
>>
>>52523148

Wut? It can't even auto-detect the typed language, you have to switch manually between them

Swiftkey master race here, multi-language typing is completely seamless. (the menus are a bit shit, but whatever, on a keyboard you basically only use them once to set it up and that's it)

On the subject of keyboards: why don't the "famous" Android keyboards implement any sort of "swipe to move the cursor / select text" feature? I've tried it on an iFagphone and it's quite useful... don't know why it's not a standard feature of all keyboards out there.

It probably requires changes to the android framework which is why it isn't a thing on 3rd party keyboards. From what I know, only the touchwiz keyboard has this functionality and it is not enabled by default.

It lags like crazy on my z2.
>>
>>52523594

>It probably requires changes to the android framework

I'm an Android developer and I can assure you it does not.
The keyboard can freely move the cursor, in fact swiftkey itself has optional arrow keys that can do that. All it would need to do is implement a swipe gesture that moves it depending on the momentum of the swipes.

There are, in fact, 3rd party keboards that do it (Flesky does with an extension). But not many. I'd like this to be a standard feature on all keyboards, it's a killer feature imho.

Used it since beta on original galaxy note -> nexus4 -> g4 and no regular lags were detected. The only phone that lags with it is galaxy note because its generally slow as fuck. You might need to review what hogs resources on your z2 and uninstall some shit.
>>
>>52521321
Why not just use an invisible keyboard instead? Don't have to retrain your thumbs and still get just as much screen estate, if not more.
>>
>>52523834
Woah thanks anon I didn't know that

Joke

Xperia keyboard was able to process two languages at once. I didn't have to switch between two languages instead I was able to just type the language I preferred.

AOSP with an xposed plugin so I don't get keyboard burn in like all of the cucks in this thread who aren't doing this to preserve their amoled screen.
>>
I always mistype on my android keyboard. I recently typed something on a friend's 5s and it was a much faster and more accurate to type with. Maybe I haven't quite got used to a 5 inch phone.
>>
>>52521444
it's minuum

>>52524080
It's autocorrect is god-tier, and because its just one row I can type without looking - just move my thumbs more to the left or the right. If you need to type something more exotic, you can draw the keyboard out to full size.
>>
>>52526197
You can do the exact same things with an invisible keyboard and you wouldn't have needed to retrain your fingers.
>>
>>52524185
Absolutely degenerate.
