Geforce Asus GTX 970 4GB STRIX
>>52509247
It is a good 3.5GB card.
>>52509266
>memes
It's what I have.
Decent card, but I did get it pretty cheap thanks to the 3.5GB thing and may sell it on just before the pascal cards hit.

>Geforce Asus GTX 970 3.5GB STRIX
FTFY
Capcha: Select all images with popcorn.
If only 390 wasn't so power hungry.
>>52509247
>4GB
>>52509298
>muh $5 a year
Mommy probably pays the power bill anyway, so why do you care?
>>52509327
>power usage is only $$$
>heat? noise? what are those?
It's not good tbqh. I have one and the coil whine is bad.
>>52509247
kind of a stupid card to get. it's overkill if you want to play recent games on 1080p and at the same time it's not future proof because muh 3.5.
get a 960 or 380(x) if you don't need the extra power right now.
>>52509370
>heat
>noise
Irrelevant with aftermarket coolers
>>52509327
It is you disgusting NEETs who don't worry about power bill.
>>52509247
Why do you girls spend so much money on a graphics card, you like to play your faggy games?
Grow up already.
Get an R9 390
Just remember not to pair it with an AMD CPU
>>52509370
>heat? noise? what are those?
Dumb tripfag.
>>52509247
>gaymen
>3.5/4
you really need to rethink your life, fucking manchild
>>52509371
I have one and have only heard coil whine once and very low when it was rendering 2000+ fps, asides of being low, it won't achieve that much on 99.1% of any game ever. You might try to rma it
>>52509406
Why?
>>52509395
It's an easy thing to spend money on, something you think you'll enjoy because you did it as a kid. I find I either feel like a man child while playing them or just not interested.
>>52509395
>Stop doing things I don't like.
>Stop it, it triggers my autism when people do things that I don't like, despite the fact they have no significant impact on my life what-so-ever.
>>52509388
This, especially since brands like ASUS and MSI are recycling the same aftermarket coolers. We've pretty much entered a golden age of aftermarket coolers and not a moment to soon since 28nm will be out the window and hopefully the next shrink has GPUs running cooler and using less power.
>>52509391
I think the point is that nobody should base their decision about which high end graphics card to buy based on power efficiency. It's a stupid argument.
>>52509449
Can't be bothered to, it's not like I can hear it most of the time, but the fact that it is there bothers me a bit.
>>52509466
Power efficiency is an issue that should be considered when getting expensive gpus, it's not the power bills that make a difference, it's the longer lifetime of the card.
>>52509451
AMD CPUs are garbage compared to Intel. You will end up bottlenecking the card in any CPU intensive program. Even AMD themselves recommend using an Intel CPU for benchmarks and intense gaming.
>>52509559
I suppose having a card that lasts 7 years instead of 10 is a big deal for a card that's obsolete in 3
>>52509576
Considering that the main problem is in the api and development, it would make a difference when/if the current hardware is used properly.
>>52509247
Thinking of getting it as can't be bothered to buy a 750W PSU just for a R9 390.
Worried my 650W 80 Bronze won't handle a 390 with an OCed 6600K
>>52509277
>Facts
>>52509793
650W is more than enough for a 390.
980Ti price drop when?
>>52509821
you sure?
I have a 650W Cooler Master 80 PLUS bronze.
>>52509298
>>52509880
Don't risk it, depending on your hardware, peripherals and how you are using it (oc for example) you are playing Russian roulette on full load.
>>52509890
Probably a silly question but can you provide a graph so I can look at the average load?
>>52509247
Get 2 or 980ti
THREE POINT FIVE FUCKING GIGS
Buy AMD faggot.
>>52509247
its nice but i would look for one with better vrm cooling. the asus one only has a tiny little heatsink and the vrm does have any contact with the heatsink that cools the gpu core.
the gigabyte one has better vrm cooling as it has contact with the main heatsink.
A friend of mine is looking for a meme card, is the evga sc+ acx 2.0 good?
Is there even a real difference in overclocking potential between these models or is it all the same shit with MUH MARKETING behind it?
I see a lot of people saying different stuff everywhere but I know that customers tend to parrot shit they know nothing about and pass it as fact.
