Is there any benefit to keeping Linux and Windows partitions on separate disks?

Windows can only install to the first partition of the first disk.
Linux can install anywhere.
So let windows rot in its own little hole while it slows down over time from sata controller interrupt counting and have a nice physically portable Linux disk to move around between desktops and laptops
