Why does /g/ consider Java a meme language? apart from C++ I think Java is th ebest OOP language out there. What do you guys think?

My frustration is mainly from it's implementation in enterprise situations.
For example, Cisco's web interfaces for their products are all written in Java -but require different fucking versions of the JRE to work properly. And even then, applications within the web gui themselves will require some other different fucking version of the JRE. I'm talking about you, holiday recording scheduler. God dammit.
It's the most frustrating fucking thing.
