As we've said many, many, many times now. We (or I at least) download the best copy.
75% of the time that's the encode as it's been zoned, filtered and balanced bordered to fix banding, blocking and dirty lines respectively OR it's a HYBRID of the best BD sources rather than just one with certain flaws.
As a rule of thumb, if a source doesn't compress well, the remux is the only good option. This happens 25% of the time to be generous.
We'v Te shown you examples of this multiple times and the only reason you need to be told over and over again is because you don't want to believe that your own collection isn't perfect.
Get over yourself, learn something, move on.

Never really took private trackers seriously. Got into a few of them (PTP/AB/What) a couple years ago and have maintained accounts with moderate amounts of seeding, nothing major. I want to start contributing more and make PU on what, but have no idea how.
How do you even find things to upload that haven't been done before? I've managed to get a little more than 2GB of upload by grabbing a couple things off freeleech.

Tbqh I don't believe most of encoders don't choose mostly the screenshots that make their encodes look transparent for comparison. There's always some loss and you don't really know how much there is, because all you can see prior to downloading is info on encode and 5-10 sets of screens at best. You might say that screenshots of a typical problematic scenes could show the whole picture, but I'd say it's not true. I'm encoder myself, did many good ones, but none of them was 100% transparent. And each time I picked frames for comparison, I could easily make tons of screens that looked lossless even in "bad" scenes, but in other similar scenes my encode wouldn't look so good. You say 75% of sources need filtering and that's not true either. Most of them don't. From my experience, dirty lines is the most common issue, but it's typical mostly for DVDs and it's really the most autistic thing, not many care about it unlike banding/blocking/color issues, which are more noticeable. So, that fool is somewhat right, when filtering is not needed (most of the times) and if you don't care about the size, remux or BD is the best and safest option.

NCmt are a new-ish AHD internal group. They've done the first few season like DON, but they're larger filesizes and the quality is worse (if you check the archives I posted comparisons between DON and NCmt S01E01 a while back and there was obvious banding in the NCmt opening titles, and the rest of the NCmt screens looked debatably a little worse than DONs in every instance).
I'm a little into S09 on my rewatch at the moment. Hope you're enjoying them m8. I also hope the new season is reasonable too :^)

GECKOS is a solid choice. Even though it's scene, it's still bluray, so the quality is great for all but the most autistic viewer (and like we mention, DON isn't available for those late seasons yet).
I actually really like S08. S07 was a bit of a mess in my opinion (too many bad 'funny' episodes), and if you get on with Doggett's character (and can deal with less Mulder) you'll probably have a good time. S09 is a little less good. Mytharc goes wonky and confusing, and most of the MotW eps aren't so great (though my memory is fuzzy about a lot of them). Worth powering through for the finale though.
