Alright, /g/; I've finally created my home server (running Debian stable), set up a samba share on it, allowed SSH/FTP access, got Transmission running, and installed Couch Potato. Now what do I do with it?
throw it to trash

enjoy downloading and watching chinese cartoons

It's not my home server; it's just a picture I found from Google Images. My real server just has 2 250gb hard drives raided together.

I don't watch chinese cartoons, though.
>spend money and time building a home server
>doesn't even know what to do with it in the first place
Whatever, you're the one getting shafted.
Anyways keep it as a backup for your files and set up your devices to where they can all share files to and from the server. That's my suggestion.

I didn't spend anything; just had some parts, HDDs, and an old computer laying around.

you should start doing that, it's fun
anyway you could also try putting up a web server with a personal site, or running game servers for whatever you and your friends play.

Game servers sound like a good idea. If I put up a web server, though, I would have no idea what to do with it (or put on it).

Host gay porn on your web server since you're a faggot.

The autism in this is off the charts.
