senpai so I found /ptg/ a few months ago and I listened to some of you and have an account on AB and recently also got interviewed and joined what.cd as well because why not.
I'm PU on AB already and atm just starting to upload to what (2 uploads, zero snatches) but I filled a request and earned a little less that 100mb for it.
I feel like the only way to advance on what would be to fill requests/aka buy bandcamp and upload there. Only issue is that would of course cost money and add up eventually.
The request I filled is actually an album I really enjoyed.
How do you guys do what? I'm afraid I will upload and nobody will snatch it and it's a hit n miss to guess if someone will download your upload.

Bib and Mam are both great trackers for readers, they just do things differently but Mam is much easier to join and survive on.
Bib focuses on pristine retail but allows anything as long as it doesn't use the retail tag.
Bib has never competed with Mam on net content. Mam has 10x more members than Bib anyway.

The ratio system here isn't broken, it works really well.
The way it's meant to be done is this:
1. Use your first ratio free 20GB to download any music you'd like and perma-seed it.

2. As you (slowly) gain upload from that initial 20GB you're seeding, download more music you want (as much as your required will allow)
3. repeat step 2. The more you download, the more your seeding size will increase and the faster you will get upload (eventually you will have more upload then you no what to do with, I barely seed any of my music at the moment because I haven't had time to set it up).
4. If you want more upload or faster, upload your own content and making it fucking pretty with album art, correct tags and a nice, thorough description so that people actually want to snatch it.
If and once your required ratio allows, jump on staff picks and other freeleech torrents ASAP and you'll never even have to think about ratio here again.
You'll notice it's all about encouraging retention and uploading content. That's why what.cd actually works and is what it is

if you're willing to spend a few dollars, look for old requests for web albums, you should be able to find 25gb worth for probably less than $30.
other then that, look for free 2015/2016 music, that shit will get autosnatched. also be quick to download freeleech picks when they're released, and maybe set up notifications for highly anticipated albums.

There is no HnR on wcd. You can download and delete all you want, if you are so inclined.
