I can only use the Debian Live image as of right now. Getting the other installer is not going to happen, unless I have a way to write to another USB drive with just the Live image. On that note, I ask: Is there a USB image writing program(mobile, so that I don't have to install it) that works on Debian?

And to reiterate the initial problem: I installed Debian on my computer, and it hangs on the initial loading screen. I've reinstalled it as well to no avail. What do?

>>

hi.
you can use "ssh -i <path/to/keyfile>" to specify a particular key.
If it's asking you for a password, it's either saying "Password:" or it's saying "Enter passphrase for key '/path/to/key'"

if it's the latter, you have to unlock the key with a passphrase. That's standard operating procedure. You can opt to create a new key without a passphrase, but I wouldn't recommend it because it is a HUGE SECURITY RISK if that keyfile gets into the wrong hands.

If it's the former, you're either not setup for key-authentication on the server, or ssh isn't finding the keyfile. Usually ssh wants the default key to be '~/.ssh/id_rsa' but you *might* have named your key something different.

I want to get the left white graphics tablet... currently saving up for it At the moment. I did the research and the device is good and the Panda City(the seller in America) is very trusted.

The only thing I would get in the same price range is the cintiq 13 hd, but it's smaller.

Bite the bullet and go for the Yiynova?

I really don't want to get a smaller device because I have a Thinkpad x60 tablet and a note tablet. The screen isn't too small but I am looking for something bigger, at least 1080p and an IPS panel and the Yiynova is all that.

Is a x220 worthwhile for $120CAD, could it run modded skyrim on high with minimal bottle-necking if i add ram and have something like a gtx660ti connected through the express-card slot? I have a q9550 (2007 quad core @ 2.83 ghz) and 8gb ram on my desktop and i'm wondering how this would compare.

No.Make sure your graphics drivers are updated to the latest version.Something in windows could have fucked it or needs a new version.
Go to the website and download the lastest drivers.
If you dont know what it is.Go to the device manager and find the name of it and google it + drivers.

Fan is always pushing out hot air, even when idle. Windows throttles everything down when it's not needed.
Every time I look online, instead of a low power option, I just find people saying to turn off Bluetooth and turn off effects. Those don't make my system use less power, it still gets the same battery life and the system is a bit faster during that small time.

Even the integrated GPUs of modern CPUs are about as fast as this card. So if you get an Intel i5 or an AMD APU you don't really need this card.

I've got a question about mobo connections, with all the hardware constantly getting better, why aren't the actual connectors changing or more importantly getting smaller?

I'm talking about things like the power connector & also the case IO connectors? why are they so unrefined & why does USB3.0 headers take so much space?
Am I being naive? is there like a signal/noise issue? I just feel like they would have come up with a smaller connector by now.

Smart anons got insight?

/sci/ here, I need a new laptop that is capable of running 3D modelling programs, has a decent battery life and can run some games at moderate settings. My price range is 1500-2500$ and I am willing to buy parts and add them to a computer after. So far all I know is that I want an i7 and a SSD with at least 256gb. I'm tech illiterate so the simpler the answer the better.

Do the 'nitpicky' things on TV reviews matter for the average person?

Like, most of the TVs I've ever bought I would just go to the store and stare at them for a while until I found one that felt right and that I could afford and I've had zero problems.

But now I'm getting kind of obsessed with reviews. I seriously can't even find a TV without a considerable amount of flaws. Unless I spend a couple grand, of course. Then for some reason everything is perfect.

A lot of review sites are reviewing $10k+ screens so anything less than $1000 is going to be trash to them. A good reviewer really should make statements comparing it to other TVs in the price range, though. I rely on review sites when I shop for computer monitors and they're usually good about that. Contrast, viewing angle, color gamut, etc really are important attributes to look for.

code academy
>>
>>52224733
Learn how programming works on a conceptual level, then start learning a simple language like python that will train you to deal with programming syntax. Next, to apply your knowledge start doing programming challenges like for example codingame.com . I would then tell you to start learning programming from a low level like with assembly analysis or something but I don't think it's really necessary nowadays for beginners. Don't get me wrong, low level definitely has it's place if you plan to take programming to the next level.
>>
>>52224813
To add, people will suggest codecademy. It is okay for syntax training but anything outside of that it's useless. When you get to programming something on your own you would fine codecademy taught you pretty much nothing.
