New computer wont power on.
It has the following parts as shown in the picture as well as 1 stick of 8gig gskill ram and its in a corsair obsidian 750D case.
The motherboard lights up so its recieving power, and the usb on both the back and front are able to charge my phone, but nothing inside powers on as well as the case LEDs. Anyone have a clue?

>>

What the fuck are you doing?!
>>
>>52200296
Check to make sure your RAM is properly seated and your PSU connections are all solid.
>>
>>52200342
RAM is in properly, double checked all connections
>>
did you plug in the cpu power cable?
>>
>>52200296
Well it's plugged in right. Try taking the cable off and jumping the power switch pins with a screwdriver. I've gotten cases with bad buttons before.
>>
>>52200296
Thats your front fucking panel jumpers you retard
>>
>>52200547
Tried shorting it, power only goes to motherboard, nowhere else

Post a picture of the actual power supply connections. This, and the P4/8 pin connector by the cpu.

>>

Throwing this in there as my brothers build did this.
Is there an onboard button thats says "on" or "go" ?
It was required for the first boot up only

Double check these cables to make sure the power isn't seated on ground & whatnot.
>>
>>52200930
The 20 pin connector dingy don't look fully plugged in to me 4 pin part does though gl op
>>
>>52200963
Is that power cable in sideways? Looks like the power cable clip doesn't match up with the nub it clips on to
>>
>>52201976
Check the picture up above they are in correctly
>>
>>52202142
I thought the same thing, it doesnt fit in that way, it only fits in this way and 180° around. Tried both ways the user guide sucks so much.
>>
>>52200258
Define "power on". Do you press the power button and nothing happens? Does it run for a second and stop?
Check that power switch connection. Are you sure it's properly plugged into the panel? Use a screwdriver to ground the power switch to see if the power switch on the case is faulty. (bridge the power switch + pin and - pin with the screwdriver)

>>52202189
That's probably wrong
>>
>>52202189
The correct way is when the clip fits on the ports clips
>>
>>52202215
I tried to turn it on with a screwdriver, didnt work. Motherboard has a light that lights up meaning it has power. Both usbs on front and back are able to charge my phone, its just that nothing turns on.
>>
I used the other atx12v and it fit in the right way where it clips in, still nothing.
>>
I had this problem a week ago when I build my first PC, I took all the plugs out and the psu then replugged everything back in then it worked
>>
>>52202913
So you pressed the button on top of your case and it came on?
Is your graphics card properly powered and seated?
>>
>>52200296
i hate those fucking things the pc industry need a new standard
>>
>>52202913
does the fans start spinning and then turn off?
my computer still does this before turning on again.
>>
Reset cmos
>>
>>52200258
I have my own build it runs fine and nothing has gone wrong yet, I just have to ask the tower I got came with a central hub for the fans, it had to wires sticking out of it. One was a four prong one which said motherboard fan controls, the other said 12 volt and looked very odd to me I did not even know where to plug it in can anyone tell me what it is?
>>
>>52200258
Could you do a webm when you try to turn it on?

Fixed guys. The atx12v had another one attatched. I just switched them and it worked. But now i have a new problem, im trying to boot from a usb drive that has the windows installation on it. But when i go into the bios and switch the boot drive to the usb and it restarts, it says this error. Removing the battery on my mobo fixes it but restarts the bios so i cant change the boot drive. Any ideas?
>>
>>52204215
If your pc runs fine, and it doesnt need that plug then leave it
>>
>>52200963
Well that's why it doesn't work
>>
>>52204806
Bump
>>
>>52200930
Push the big 20 pin connector in fully until the tab clicks in place.
>>
>>52204806
Go into the bios and turn off chassis intrusion detection, alternatively find the headers for the intrusion switch and place a jumper over it.
>>
>>52204806
Make sure that you're ram is seated correctly and press MemOK on the motherboard if its having any issues.

Oh wonderful, enjoy your new shit posting rig anon. the chassis intrusion for use with a case switch so you can be alerted if someone has been inside your rig (lan party's etc). There was an anon on here who goes around stealing stuff from public PC's and selling the parts on ebay.

But for home use it pretty much redundant unless you live with a bunch of scumbags.

how fucked am I
I just finished my new pc and the spring and the nut on the center of my heat sink popped off, will i have to take everything apart to fix it or is it okay?
