Why doesn't uBlock Origin block the giant, hideous ads on Wikipedia? You /g/uys told me uBlock Origin was the best adblocker.
>>52158749
Because it's not an ad dumbass. You can blacklist that shit if you want
the element picker exists for a reason

Why I right click and click "Block Element". I just end up with a giant gap but no ad...
>>52158845
Try to block the space, or block the script for the nag instead of the cosmetic elements of the script.
>>52158855
>Try to block the space
I tried but you can't.
>block the script
How do I do that?
>>52158879

Is there a tech to host websites in a decentralized fashion?
seems like that would be a good solution for a community project like wikipedia

His time is much better spent on shitposting about a non-issue.
>>52159355
how did you do that?
>>52159497
My uMatrix is blocking all scripts and anything 3rd-party by default.
You can achieve the same with uBlock Origin's Dynamic Filtering feature.
>>52159497
Not him but I have scripts blocked. I get not donation alerts.
>>52158845
Force refresh the page, the site's javascript will no longer create that space once the notice is blocked. uBlock Origin can't unexecute already executed js.
>>52159497
he stayed calm and did't go all ADD over trivial stuff.
>>52159618
I'm him and I definitely didn't "stay calm"; I went full tinfoil and blocked basically everything as explained in >>52159511
That's the reason I'm not getting it.
>>52159655
I hope you are also tunneling your traffic or at least using a private proxy if you went full tinfoil.
>>52159602
fuck you.
>>52159723
>proxy
No but I use a VPN.
>>52158845
You did not block the correct element. Always use the broadest filter (lowest in the list) which does not also remove good stuff.
