It's almost 2016. If you're still pirating and wasting hard drive space on music, you are fucking retarded.

I wish there was a good native audio player for Linux. But the best audio players for windows are either foobar2000 or MusicBee.
>>
>>52147968

most Winamp replicas are shit. MusicBee and all others are a clusterfuck of useless CPU cycles for no reason

Foobar werks but is as bad as a linux CLI on X Server

Winamp 2.75 won't crash and is the best for ever and ever

I honestly don't know why, it isn't exactly amazing nor does it have any standout features. I just like like it.

Why would you want to stop using Winamp? It's simply the best player for Windows and arguably the best player for any OS. And you don't need updates because it's already perfect.

I personally use the lite version which has all of the bloat like media library and video player cut out, it uses like 5 MB memory on average too
>>
I unironically use itunes, don't even have an ipod/phone, why does everyone hate it so much?
Seems pretty good apart from it asks to update even when you tell it not to ask again.

It doesn't auto scan folders for added music. Doesn't have any customization really. A pain to keep the library duplicate free. Constantly nags you for updates. Apple iBotnetâ„¢

Winamp 5.666 isn't bad, it never crashed and works perfectly.

Foobar is pretty great.
I got it a long time ago when I first starting obtaining all of my music in .flac format and I never looked back.

It just werks.

Also that add-on is pretty nice if you use Firefox in fullscreen mode and lack media keys. It has a button which will pull up your player without you having to minimize Firefox or exit out of fullscreen mode.

I use iTunes unironically too, although I do have an iPhone and iPod.

>>52148753
>It doesn't auto scan folders for added music
In the iTunes media folder there is a "Automatically Add to iTunes" folder that throws whatever is in there into iTunes and properly organizes it.

>Doesn't have any customization really
True.

>A pain to keep the library duplicate free
I've been using iTunes for 5 years now and never had a problem with duplicate songs being made. Not sure what you're doing wrong.

>Constantly nags you for updates
True.

>Apple iBotnetâ„¢
True.

Basically you should only use iTunes if you have an Apple device. I've been using it for years and have found that on the surface, it's pretty shitty but once you learn the ins and outs of the program, it isn't that bad actually and has some really nice features if you have an Apple device. I have yet to find a reason that applies to me personally to switch to any other program.

Foobar, the GUI is atrociously boring but it just fucking werkz.

switching between music bee and foobar. love how customizable foobar is but h8 how using podcasts looks, floating docks are fucking awful, same with unp.
musicbee ricing is fucking laughable. and it's playlist system is legit retarded. but has intergrated podcasts/audiobooks.

This is why foobar should go gnu full mode. solve dumb issues like these.

What Windows music players can sync to android like iTunes syncs to apple devices?
So far I've tried winamp (support is gone and auto tagging doesn't work) and Google play (songs must be uploaded to cloud server then dowloaded to the device, I have a 55kBps upload speed and 3000 songs so this isn't an option)
>>

AIMP3

I kept using Winamp 2.95 until last year when I finally got sick of mangled non-ASCII song/artist names.

Wish I'd switched years earlier.
It's pretty much Winamp 3 should have been rather than the abortion it turned into.
>>

I still prefer Winamp to everything else.
