Set headphones as primary sound output, disable speakers.
Just mute the speakers or turn them down really low. It won't affect headphone volume

Disable them as a device/disable their driver then doofus.
Switch to Linux. Alsa won't randomly un-mute your speakers and the plug detection on the headphone jack isn't buggy.
