Essential or nice things to do after root, or for a first time Android user in general? I moved to a LG G4 from an iPhone so I'm still unfamiliar with the possibilities (jailbreaking iOS wasn't really that much of a step).
Right now, I know for sure to install AdAway from F-Droid and Xposed for YouTube AdAway. For those using Greenify has it really helped out with battery life? It's also really hard to see definitive replacements for stock apps with there being so many options. I'm not super anal about my freedom either so...
You missed the root boom. Just run stock marshmallow.

Welcome to the masterrace!
On Xposed, I have
>AcDisplay

>Native Clipboard
>WiFi Password
>XInstaller
>Xposed Additions
>XPrivacy
And on F-Droid I have
>AFWall+
>Clover
>Kernel Adiutor
>Kore
>NewPipe
>Orbot
>OS Monitor
>Preferences Manager
>SELinuxModeChanger
>Shattered Pixel Dungeon

I can answer any questions on the topic of Android, Xposed, or F-Droid.

Not OP but I have an older phone - Samsung Note 3. All I am able to download OTA so far is 5.0 Lollipop
drivedroid as long as you have a bluetooth headset so you can boot a linux distro like you had a usb drive but can still be on a phone call
custom roms depending on how much bloat shit is on the stock rom, recommend AOSP based, CM and AOKP are also good choices.
wifi and usb tethering if you didn't already have it (invaluable for 1,000 IT reasons)
ricing apps if you give a shit
SD card app movers, they can move big games onto an SD card, there are 100 different ones that do this.
CPU governers, can underclock to save battery

You might be able to flash a third party rom
Rooting's not really a thing that anybody needs to do anymore, really. Not since the days of Gingerbread through Kitkat.

He's dumb for choosing the LG G4 or Android?

I haven't been on /g/ in about a year. Weren't the iPhone users the ones getting shit on all the time? What changed?

So people just deal with ads all over or there are other ways without root now? Blocking them on YouTube especially is primarily the reason I've done it.
>>52116711
How can I block ads without root then?

Get device control, greenify, lucky patcher, and there's a few more I haven't gotten around to installing so I can't recommend yet. Namely modded play store and xposed framework.
