It is time to update this guide?

Most of the recommended mouses are dead or very rare to find. Even g400 is a dead mouse now.
>>
I just got a 4D 1200dpi mouse from china without lights for $7. I see a lot of customizable gamer mice with variable dpi, but they all have fucking LEDs.
>>
Where is zowie fk2? Best mouse I have ever uaed so far for fps gaymen
>>
When will this gayming peripheral meme die?
>>
Why Is kinzu shit tier? It's been great for me
>>
>>52110526
Chart is a bit small but i totally agree.
G700 owner here.
>>
>>52110605
Normally you can just turn that shit off.

Also Steelseries Rival should be god tier or at least great tier. It's pretty reminiscent of the Intellimouse.
>>
>>52110677
Seconding that, the Rival is a beast of a mouse
>>
>>52110634
It doesn't really need to be a gamer mouse. Thing is that this chart it's pretty much outdated and needs a rework.

I would say that the m100 is a good cheap mouse so far, but i dont even know if they still produce them still.
>>
logitech G100s is god tier
>>
>>52110677
>>52110767
Is the Rival the best mouse you can get in that price range? I'm gonna need to replace my MX518 pretty soon and have been looking at the Rival 100, seems like a great mouse at ~$40.
>>
>>52110526
The Logitech "s" mouse series all have good sensors and no acceleration, but look ricer as fuck.
>>
>>52110677
the rival is pretty fucking good, having used it after buying a deathadder i feel like a retard

intellimouse is still best tho
>>
>>52110927
You shouldn't worry about how a mouse looks unless you're a let's play streamer
>>
>>52110526
Where would my G602 fit on there? I've had it since August and it's done me pretty well. Took like 3 months before I had to switch out the two AA batteries it came with.
>>
I still have my g400 and the day it dies will be a very sad day.

I was going to get a Logitec G602, then remembered I hoard mice and quickly returned it.

Currently painting a shitty wireless Gateway mouse to make it a gaming mouse that's extra fast.
>>
I had a g400 10/10 mouse, broke it.
Bought into Razer meme, it sucked.
Got a steel series rival now, haven't tried it yet, did I fuck up?
>>
>>52111086
G5 and G500. There's a G500S which is basically an updated G500. They're all pretty close in form design. The big difference is the design of the buttons and the DPI changer. I have a G500 myself. Wouldn't really trade it for anything. When it does I'll probably get a G500S myself.
>>
>>52111181
Memes will be memes. Steel Series is what all the "hardcore gamers" tend to use, but any Steel Series product I've seen looks like a giant pile of shit.

Logitech is the only company I trust when it comes to mice and keyboards. This G500 I have right now was used when I got it. My ex-room mate had it laying around and didn't use it anymore, so he gave it to me. Been using it for over a year now myself, and still works like a charm. Buttons don't skip clicks (where you would be holding the button down and the mechanism would release like you let go of the button) and everything works as it would if it was a brand new mouse.

I can't say the same about some of those other mice out on the market.

the sensei is a decent mouse in terms of ergonomics, but I fucked up in 2 ways when I got it
1) I bought it on sale from ShitBuy, and I think they were trying to get rid of the older models of it, so mine had issues with the steelseries software unless I installed an older version
2) I got the mirrored/reflective surface one, which looks like shit since it's covered in fingerprints/hand oils, and the paint/scratched chipped in a couple spots.
other than that it's fine, I sort of dislike the illuminated logo though when I'm trying to sleep, but i think that can be disabled in the software.

Majority of Steelseries is Razer tier but the Rival is the best mouse they have and it's just a good mouse in general. Only problem is that the older models had shit rubber on the sides so they wear down easily. Hopefully you have one of the newer models with the updated rubber.

Alright fats let's start from the bottom.

Which mouses are ''decent tier''?
>>
I'd put g600 at at least great tier
>>
>>52112268
cm storm xornet is decent tier IMO.
>>
Really, this chart should only have two tiers. "Flawless sensor" and "Flawed sensor". Many mice now have flawless sensors and the rest is all subjective.
>>
>>52111815
Needs a huge update then. Zowie was shit back in the day with their original EC mice but now they're one of the best mice. G303 is also an amazing mouse.
>>
>>52112329

>>
I use palm grip, what is the best mouse I can buy, for around 50 dollars?
>>
Honestly I haven't found anything that really competes with the G9x. A few match it in terms of light weight and small dimensions, but when you look at sensor resolution, tilt wheel, smooth/clicky scroll wheel adjustment... nothing has all it's features.
>>
>>52111823

my negroids.

>>
>>52110973
Same. I use the G602 for and it's pretty good. Build quality is very solid, and the buttons have a very tactile feel. It's heavy as fuck though, even with one battery.
>>
>>52112469
I think CM Storm Xornet for $20 has to be in the top of the price/performance category. Thing is super comfy and is decent quality.

>>

>>
>paying a fortune a mouse
I'm fine with an 8 euro mousy
>>
>>52112443
I've used it for two years and I must say, it isn't either that good or bad.
Performance is really good, idk what else I could want from a mouse, but the build quality is horrible for a mouse that expensive. Nasty glue shit coming from under the rubber pieces, one of those is even falling of. The mouse has pads on the bottom, but shit-dust-matter still gets stuck around the edges. The logo's LED is positioned about 1 or 2 cm behind it, illuminating only parts of it, depending on the viewing angle. Also Razer Synapse is the botnetest shit ever, literal spyware. The cable on the other hand is light, good looking and relatively durable.
In conclusion:
>Razer® DeathAdder™ 2k15-2©
experience is no lie, you pay for the (poorly illuminated ;_; ) logo. The jews got me again, crap.
>>
>>52112780
>(relatively) light
>perfect 1:1 sensor
>great side buttons
>perfect ergonomic shape

DeathAdder is a great mouse, just remember to RMA it when it breaks after a few months.
>>
>>52112494
Then pretty much every mouse aside from intellimouse and zowie mice should be shit. The rat series are amazing mice, children just dont try them because it's not SS, LT or Razer
>>
>>52112950
That, and their build quality is ass. I've had 2 R.A.T. 5s fail on me so far.
>>
>>52112939

>>
>>52111086
>>52111036
whatever you do, do not fall for the g402/g502 monstrocity meme

i used mx518 for like 8 years, then g400 for 2~ years, the closest thing i've tried to g400, has been the steelseries rival.
>>
I just picked up a NEW Logitec 502 for $40.. This is my first "nice" mouse, and I feel I made a good choice. I love the switchable scroll wheel.
>>
>>52113062
I just got one today. The only complaint I have is how skinny it is. There is no place to comfortably put my ring or pinky finger. I guess I'll just have to get used to it.
>>
>>52110855
Wrong rival. The 300 is the amazing one (remake of the old rival with new rubber sidepads)
The rival 100 is a new smaller version. It's been getting good reviews, but it's known that the sensor is inferior
>>
>>52110526
What a shitty guide. G500 was trash.
>>
>>52113001
I don't think anyone uses that. If I want to scroll left/right I just hold shift.

>>52111036
Mine died a while ago. Tried G500 which couldn't track for shit. Switched to EC2 Evo CL which couldn't track for shit either. Used a partly defective Razer Imperator for a while and just got a G402. It tracks like a dream but isn't as ergonomic as G400 was. Also it has too many buttons but at least it works in really fast movements.

So I currently have a g502 and it's a great mouse. But I use my trackpad for anything that isn't gaymen now, so all I need is a mouse with a perfect sensor, maybe two side buttons and a variable DPI. The chart is completely wrong. The modern Zowie mice are as basically top-tier as it gets. WMO/IME are probably being used by ppl who don't even realize you need to overclock the polling rate for the mouse to be worth a shit and even then it's 400 CPI aka garbage unless you're on 1024x768.

Mice are the most subjective tech there is imo. A shit tier for one person can be God tier for another. That being said,

I'm still using my MX518 from 2008 right now. It looks like ass because the rubberized coating on some parts of the mouse started peeling off years ago and the right click button has started sticking recently (might just need to be opened up and be cleaned or shave a little plastic off) but it hasn't actually failed yet. I just ordered a CM Storm Xornet yesterday for under $20 on Amazon to replace it but I'll keep the MX518 as a backup. I don't know how it's lasted this long to be honest, I haven't been very gentle with it, it just refuses to die.

I recommend you guys give the G303 a shot. At first it will seem "too" small and the clicking will seem "too" sensitive, but once you adapt to it I believe it gives you an advantage. At this point I don't know how so many of you can wield a big honking G502.

>>52123124
Its negligible and compared to the wire tugging you and annoying you from time to time, its much better.

The overall experience with this mouse is just god tier. Nothing beats this thing. I am serious, I have had other mice before, some wired, some wireless and this beast beats them all. Been a gamer for over 10 years and I can safely completely recommend this thing to anyone who needs a general good mouse for vidya.

the cord is always a problem, I have seen some pretty retarded ways to deal with that as well, somekind of cord feet to hold it in place or some dumb shit like that.

But once you cut the cord and are free, gaming, fps games become ten times better. Being cordless, not having to recharge the mouse with its proprietary batteries and having no noticeable lag is fucknig glorious.

All of you dumb fucks should bow down to the g602. Its your god, whether you like it or not.

Dude, you are implying I haven't actually tried the g602. It's a good wireless mouse, but you can still notice the input lag ever so slightly and stop pretending there is none (because that isn't even possible since the signal is converted twice and transmitted through the air).

I have bought a mouse bungee more than 10 years ago and I don't even notice a cord (at least as much as you don't notice your input lag). It's a 20 buck one time investment.
Stop trying to convince me, I'm perfectly happy with my g502 just as you apparently are with your g602. So let's agree to disagree.

zowie fk1 to god tier
Reasons:

1. no software
just plug-n-play the bullshit, you can also change DPI with the nice button on the bottom.

2.nice material
the material is nice, fat from crisps/cheese doodls is ez to wipe away and the plastic won't wear.

3.the clickyness of the buttons is almost as clicky as my mx blue keyboard, really good feel in those buttons.
>>
I have the Logitech G9, which is going for like $400 new on eBay, and like $100 used. I think it easily deserves to be on the god tier list. Here's why:
>you can customize the actual weight of the mouse
>you can customize the grip
>you can customize the scroll wheel
>you can customize the DPI ON-the-fly
>you can customize the LED lights
>braided cable
>sexy as fuck
>>

So I had a deathadder and it had a great sensor but it started double clicking after only 6 months, I changed left click to right click and got used to it and the same thing happened to the right click 6 months later. Also the software is bloated shite and makes a great mouse just bearable. Don't buy Razor, kids.
What's a good mouse that has a comparable sensor but will last longer and it would be nice if it was claw grip master race.
>>
>>52126668
the g502 has pretty much the best sensor in the market and fits all mouse grips since it's flatter than the old MX design. Just google the g502 and read a view reviews if you don't trust this thread.

Also deathadders have always been fragile piece of shits, while they've always been really accurate while alive.
