or has my IP been stolen?
Someone got me to click a link in PM on FB, and this came up [pic related]

What information could they have because of this/ or did Google stop me from actually giving the attackers what they wanted and this was just a warning?
sorry total noob

Nigga u dumb?
Post the link given to you.
So that we may ascertain if you have indeed suffered a security breach.
Or if you are merely ill of the noggin.

If they just have your Ip they won't do shit. You didn't actually enter the website so your fine. I doubt if you entered the website you would have been hacked anyway.

but it all seriousness you are a massive cunt.

If you're concerned change your passwords and turn off your router.
>>
>>52107996
That's a normal error when your computer or connection is keeping chrome from making a SSL connection with a server.

Could be your firewall, could be your clock is wrong, could be all kinds of shit.

>>
>>52107996
You obviously don't know anything about cert chains. Just add an exception and reload the page
>>
>>52108242
Passwords to what, everything? Can someone please explain what sort of info they could have from this, like my IP or my passwords and everything on my laptop, or?

And router means wifi right? because i already turned it off then on again

>>52108256
well the guy was pretty suspcious desu

>>52108279
why?

>>52108284
look can you just speak non-/g/ language because i'm not sure what you mean here

---
Can someone just tell me what could have happened by clicking the link, that's all i need to know

>>52108291
and get hacked? i actually googled this and it said the page could be impersonating another page
>>
>>52108201
No. I looked at the page source. It's a normal goddamn edgy as fuck Marxist bullshit page. Also not HTTPS, so that's not even what caused the error. That error was probably Facebook trying to load a page warning you that you're leaving Facebook and you couldn't make a SSL connection to Facebook.

The link isn't the problem
>>
>>52108310
Could be but if its on Facebook then they already scab links for viruses. The owner of the site probably just forgot to update their cert chain
>>
>>52108310
>Normiefag
>Botnet
install gentoo
>>
>>52108310
they couldn't have got much, every site you visit can (and does) grab your ip address. it's not a big deal.
run a virus scan and change your facebook password from your phone.
>>
>>52108331
>>52108348

Actually I did not click directly from my phone/ messeger; I typed the url into my laptops search bar because i figured my antivirus would make this safer than opening within FB

so since it isnt the error where FB is redirecting me as you both imply, then it could be a bad link right?

>>52108350
idk what that is

>>52108363
ok thanks I will
>>
>>52108348
Look at the link. It's not HTTPS.

The error was Facebook trying to load the "you're about to leave facebook" shit so people don't fall for phishing attempts from Farcebook.com etc because they didn't pay close enough attention to the URL.
>>
>>52108390
I'll help you, newfriend:
Lurk more.
>/g/ is NOT your personal tech support team or personal consumer review site.
>>
>>52108390
No. The error is that it can't make a secure connection, but you're not requesting a secure page so either you've already got some malware on your machine that redirects you to other sites, or you didn't post the same link you tried to access
>>
>>52108406
dude
I just said I typed it directly into my search engine/ url bar

I did not open it from FB/messenger, I went to my laptop and typed into the address bar the link he gave me

>>52108455
I did post the same link

I am running an anti virus scan rn so that should get rid of the malware?
>>
>>52108455
but basically

since google stopped me from entering the site

there should be no harm done, right?
>>
>>52108160
ayy lmao
