Try working in a datacenter for a year or two. You will get absolutely anal retentive about computer noise levels at home.

My computer is silent at idle/low load and extremely quiet at full load because im not an autist who spends all his time on his computer, i use it only when i need something and would prefer not to be reminded of its presence by noise.
