Happy holidays /g/!

I have a 4k gaming PC in my living room which is great for anything that uses the wireless 360 controller such as witcher, mgs etc.. but for FPS games I'm going to need mouse & keyboard.
I've seen pic related, but it's €150 for what is essentially 2 arm rests and a board.

Any DIY tips or recommendations?

Thank you!

tv's have even worse input lag than monitors and are not recommended for fps
>using a wireless kb+m for fps
who put you on the planet ugh

I have zero input lag on my 4k TV, and who said I would use wireless??
>>
>>52089700
zero input lag?
Really?
REALLY?
>>
>>52090251
Why is this difficult for you to comprehend? there's no noticeable lag.
>>
>>52090329
What TV do you have then?
>>
>>52090382
one from the future with zero input lag
>>
get a steam controller

It's a Sony Bravia 65" X8509C.

>>52090494
again, why is this hard to believe?

>computer monitors dont have input lag.

my fucking sides

>inb4 1ms gtg

fyi thats pixel response not input lag, even my 1ms monitor has about 18ms of input lag.

my 60 inch sony tv has 30ms in gaymen mode i cant notice the difference even when using a mouse because im not super human.

however i have an lg for my bedroom and that has about 50ms of input lag and yes i can feel that lag

Wouldn't it be pretty annoying to deal with that shit every time you want to stand up?
>>
>>52090607
because no monitor has ZERO input lag, let alone a television!

I've thought about this but reviews are saying it's even harder than a normal gamepad?

>>52090688
I could lift it onto the floor but I don't plan on standing up for much when I start a session.

Steam Controller

Right, sorry I shouldn't have said 'zero' I meant there's no noticeable input lag that would compromise gameplay.

Steam Controller is better than a normal gamepad, but learning how to use it is like learning how to play Quake with a mouse back when all other games were keyboard only. It just takes practice. Form myself, it took around 10-15 hours to feel comfortable, but after 20 or so I'd say my FPS play with the Steam Controller rivals my keyboard and mouse play.

Check out Woodsie's videos on YouTube, they help a shit-ton to learn the basics of controller config for each genre.
