You're scaring the children. Please, put the edge down before someone gets hurt
Had one in the back of a drawer for a year. It's fun until the novelty wears off, which doesn't take very long.
I collect dust with mine

yatse for remotecontrol
was about to make the same thread desu
today i set mine up as an internal seafile server (alternative to opencloud) to transfer files between my pc, my notebook and my phone
i don't think i will be needing it much, but it's nice to have
if i don't find an additional task for the pi i will probably leave it turned off
i use one to control my tiny CNC machine.
Only issue is that it dislikes Rapt0r.
Wrote my own wireless DMX receiver which will be run on one of these in the next days. Controlling my shit via UDP is the shit.
OpenELEC and Kodi media center was pretty dope, just werkz. Now I am experimenting with Pi MusicBox and Volumio with mixed results. Need to figure out a new use since my roomie moved out and took the TV.

Tor node, compile from source or it wont work.
>>52069926
you can do a lot of shit with it OP besides sticking it up your pooper.. example is a fucking cheap server, file storage and cloud, connect that to your media center like kodi and you have a neat station

or if you are up for it, start learning about linux, even pentesting.. get a wifi dongle that support monitoring, bt dongle, gsm dongle, install couple of proggies and start fucking around with pentesting.. or even learn about parallel computing since you have cheap devices to do so

This is all ran across a raspberry pi 2, an orange pi and a bananapi.
It's going to be the control hub and data logger for an automated orchard
I've had one collecting dust because someone gave it to me as a gift and I have yet to think of a use for it.
I might turn it into a remote desktop client to connect to my work computer. Seems like a good use for it. I know it's not creative but it's a use for the thing.

I had mine as a torrentbox for a little while but it was unsustainable as it'd seriously drag if I tried to access files whilst it was downloading.
I'm currently thinking setting it up to automate and monitor the room I occupy in my flat.
Fuck all, used to use xbmc bleeding edge on it, tried to convert it into a minecraft server to give to my nephews to try to get them to stop just making 1001 new fucking worlds and learn some consistency, it was grossly inadequate for such a bloated program.
I'm fairly sure the time it took to arrive is longer than the actual time it was used, thankfully i forgot about it until it arrived.

Sure if you are fine with a very slow service on an incredibly slow file server.
get a USB GPS and build a carputer? or is that lame now that everyone has an iPhone?
>>52076066
Does the pi 2 have this problem?
>>52076230
Yeah, like I said... if you're not working with GBs.
I just got one as a gift for Christmas, going to be setting it up as a file server soon,
Well I got it working with Pi MusicBox. So far I played some internet radio and Spotify. The main benefit is that I don't have to drain my devices battery with Bluetooth/Spotify to stream music, I just control with the web GUI and my pi does the heavy lifting.
Definitely entertaining. We'll see how long the pi stays on Musicbox mode. At least until I think of something better, or get super paranoid and try to set up a security camera in my house or something
Running a PirateBox and PIFM. The range on the radio station is pretty good.
Gifting it to a freind so that he can have a machine to learn to program C++
