A 64 gb USB drive, K&R C, and a HDMI to DVI cable for the old second monitor I picked up
All in all bretty good stuff

>>52048285
What, that is awesome to get a gift thats actually related to your interests. Someone cares for you.
>>52048385
This. My brother got me a "For the Alliance" WoW mug a few years back when I was into PvP and he didn't even play the game at that time. Still my favourite mug to this day.
I don't celebrate Christmas. After I told my mom I was atheist she doesn't let me any more lol

If you block ads why not block the thing talking about ads?
>>52048487
i installed ABP, and let it do its thing. never created manual filters for it.
besides, text doesn't bother me. if it were a text-based ad (one that ABP won't block for example) it wouldn't bother me

at least we can be comforted by the fact there are other people you can relate to
I switched to evil-mode in August. Haven't looked back since. Emacs is just a nicer environment than the mess that is vim.

Literally all I did was mention to my dad a couple months back that I got a job interview because I bonded with a lead developer over our choice in text editor. Then he saw me using Vim when I installed Arch Linux on his computer and put 2 and 2 together.
He also got me an Arch Linux t-shirt.
>>52048681
She uses Archlinux? Damn.
What's with the Macbook user next to her, though?
I got drunk because no one loves me

If they'd actually know a thing about christian beliefs they wouldn't do shit like this.
>>52048780
Actually if they knew shit about Christian beliefs they would stone him to death in the streets.

Thats not taught in the bible just something of older culture ya dingus
>>52048412
I am in a similar situation (except it's only with my father, mom is pretty dope). I believe it feels better not to be part of a family you dislike / dislikes you.
Having no father instead of a retarded one made me grew faster by having to do myself things other kids had their dad doing for them. Buying my first car, moving from home to a dorm for the first time, participating in sport competitions and research team meetings...
I know he stills lurks the part of the family he rejected time to time and making him feel sad seeing that what he shat on years ago is doing well whereas he is miserable gives me a pleasant feeling I use as a motivation not to give up doing stuff.
>>52049107
Yes, but to do that, they'd have to read the bible, and understand it, instead of the cliff notes that hand your a sanitized interpretation. And if that happened, they probably wouldn't be Christian anymore.
I got a boxed hardcover edition of the complete Calvin and Hobbes, a Keurig machine, and a book on Kevin Mitnick.
Cookies, candy, clothes and cash.
For tech related stuff: a kindle paperwhite and some sol republic earbuds
My dad is the worst at guessing what I'd like. We were watching TV 3 months before Christmas and saw a guitar hero ad. He asks if I think thar is cool and I saI'd it looks ok. He then buys me guitar hero.
>>52048285

My brother got me an Aeropress which is pretty cool. I already tried it and it does make great coffee.
I got him a mini drone (like a square inch in size), and I might have to get one for myself as well because it is fun as fuck to play with.

I checked through 200+ archived threads and 6 pages of active threads to find this pepe again after I couldn't save it, being on a public computer...
I don't even know what I am supposed to feel right now after finally finding it again
