Post your dream laptop
http://www.eurocom.com/ec/release%28215%29ec
why tho
>>52043089
To post about it on /bst/.
That laptop is so fat it runs a tumblr blog about fat acceptance
>tfw too poor to afford RZ4
>>52043209
When I first saw it I laughed. But I can understand why.
>>52043209
>>52043214
Why is it so expensive u don't understand
>>52043271
OP's is around 6K
>>52043271
Because made in grorious nippon.
It's pretty much the perfect laptop, but the fuckers won't make a model for the US.
>>52043063
Dell XPS13 Infinity Display
Slim Bezels make my dick hard
>>52043214
What's the appeal? Trash specs.
>but muh 10.1
You'd better off with a Surface.
>>52043434
>3lbs
>>52043063
What, did you Google "laptop with the most core cpus" and just pick that?
>>52043388
You must love watching Uma Thurman dance
This beast
Yes those are two desktop gtx 980s in sli
Yes that is a cherry my brown keyboard
http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=&sku=1207482&gclid=CLffk6us9skCFQesaQodo1QPUA&Q=&ap=y&m=Y&is=REG&A=details#qa
>>52043619
The titan is an absolute beast!
Hopefully getting it in a few months.
>>52043619
Probably catches fire at idle load.
>No Core 0
Shop your pixels better nigger faggot.
>>52043619
How did they even fit everything in that?
>>52043063
>almost 2016
>actually needing mobile computing power
>>52043655
Sell me your Alienware
>>52043388
XPS 13 master race here, its fucking tits and 10+ hours of battery life from the Broadwell model
>>52043619
Ugly as fuck
Heavy as fuck
Inconvenient as fuck
Unneeded tech specs
Costs too much
Literally a meme.
>>52043063
But can it max out crisis with mods and ENB?
>>52043214
Seconded.
>>52043214
What are the big issues about buying the Japanese version of this? There is an international version of the kb with english letters. An adapter for the charger can be purchased. Language on the OS can be changed. I must be missing something big
>>52043619
it's as if /v/ was an electronic
>>52043063
>Post your dream laptop
If they made a 16:10 laptop I would post it
>>52043805
>>52043388
i have one too. the keyboard is shit. the spacebar will usually double press, and the trackpad is so wide that i have to change my typing style just so that my palms wont move the mouse cursor by accident when im typing. my 10 year old thinkpad is better than this piece of shit.
>>52043619
that late-80s keyboard placement sickens me
>>52043063
>One hour battery life
>>52043619
>Anyone who would buy this never leaves the house anyway.
I'll stick with my debian chromebook.
>>52044097
>Implying you shouldn't never leave your home.
>>52043209
>lelz
For things that I actually use a laptop for?
The dream would be an X220 with the best specs the limitations of my dream will allow for.
For a desktop replacement?
The dream would be a W700DS with the best specs the limitations of my dream will allow for.
>>52043996
If you live in NA, nothing. Japan is 110V too. You actually get more keys to use for macros or whatever else you like.
>>52044087
its not a late 80's keyboard its a full cherry red keyboard
>>52044131
>Japan is 110V too
oh, never knew that
I don't really see any problems in buying one.
This laptop really gets me drooling. I'll wait a bit to see if the Retro Chinkpad is actually anything besides a PR stunt. Maybe it will get a bit cheaper by then
Just hope that it won't be impossible to find batteries after a few years. Not sure how Panasonic hardware ages but knowing how the Japanese value longevity I don't think it will be a problem
>>52044123
this
except the T version of an X series
Vaio Z
>>52044335
>how can we make the screen as flimsy and weak as possible
Guess they still follow the Sony timer practice.
>>52043450
The appeal is literally that it's lightweight?
Since when did /g/ fly a fuck about that?
>>52044627
it's perfect imo if you don't need a mobile workstation (and I'm extremely picky about hardware)
Good I/O, top quality parts, IPS 16:10, tablet convertible, swappable battery
Too bad it's 2000USD fucking starting
>>52044123
my dream is x200s with modern specs
pic related
>>52043619
This thing has a nice aesthetic for a gamer laptop, usually they fuck this up.
See that dragon etching doesn't look bad.
Also the touchpad replacing numpad is a really nice thing as /g/entoomen we wouldn't want some fucking numpad getting in the way,
Will also play any game for years to come.
Too bad there isn't any point in getting this when you can just have a desktop though kek.
Pimped out M4800.
>>52043214
why are we stuck with ricer cancer and cheap ultrabooks when Japan gets high quality hardware?
>Quad Xeon 4 Ghz Unlocked CPU
>Overclockable mobo
>QUADFIRE FURY X
>24 hour battery when gaming and 24 days when simple browsing
>Charges 0-90% charge in 1 hour
>1.5 inch thickness
>4K display with 120 hz and FreeSync
>>52044938
I have a bad feeling we're never going to see the gookpad retro
goat
>>52045014
Simple. Japan doesn't have shit taste. Companies have to sell what people will buy.
>>52045150
>tfw you realize it's cultural
>tfw North American markets prefer to consume shit hardware and repurchase every upgrade cycle because of consumer culture
>tfw the Japanese don't fall for American consumerism and still make quality products despite the fact that it doesn't rack them as much revenue as the planned obsolescence model
Oo she thicc
>>52045206
Yeah but also Japan's economy is in the toilet because of this
This.
>>52043063
>>52043063
>laptop
stay stoneage, OP
http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msde/de_DE/pdp/Surface-Pro-4/productID.328100100?icid=PDP_SP4toStudent_03112015
will definitely buy it next month and there's nothing that could stop me
>>52046172
>economy is everything
Excellent thinking, goy. May I interest you in this new self-flipping burger grill? It has integrated cupholder!
>>52044938
>as /g/entoomen we wouldn't want some fucking numpad getting in the way,
Yeah no, get back to /v/eddit
>>52046382
>ftw no more GOAT laptops
>>52045055
>HP
Into the trash it goes.
>>52043619
Obligatory
>>52043214
Fuck this looks great.
This one right here without the touchscreen (and related buttons), and with an ansii keyboard that has bigger keys (instead of big spacing between them) and it would be perfect.
>>52043063
Tbh senpai it's a hard choice between these two (except I despise the razer logo so I'd take apart the back panel and spray paint the shit out of it.)
>>52049260
>manly tears gets his new laptop
>>52049982
Oh and the surface book has shitty tablet battery life, so... I dunno they're both amazing but have shitty aspects to em.
>>52049836
>mouse switches for keyboard clicks
I seriously don't understand how you'd find that acceptable.
>>52050030
>shitty tablet battery life
You mean when it is in tablet form?
or as in it has the battery of a tablet?
>>52050050
As in w/o the keyboard dock, so tablet forme: it has around 2-3 hours of battery life.
>>52050083
And that's not even SOT, with it overheating it's worse since it gets pretty damn warm when writing.
T450 Cinema Limited Edition
too bad they only made like 10
>>52050096
Would you recommend SB or are there better options?
Surface 4 Pro?
>>52050108
Depends entirely on what you do, if you use AutoCAD or intensive adobe stuff I would definitely go with the SB since that has a GPU in the keyboard dock. - better for professionals.
But as far as utility goes SP3 or SP4 will both do the same jobs, but the SP4 will last a little bit longer. (but I personally prefer SP3's 1920×1280 over the SP4's resolution) - better for students.
>>52050108
and Tbh I have no idea if there are better options: these really combine thin+powerful in one package. Take that as you may.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NC2blnl0WTE
>>52050106
This laptop is disgusting in general but that keyboard really takes the cake
>>52050417
tfw this shit is more powerful than your desktop
>>52050536
>>52044938
so fucking many people would buy this if it just fucking came out god fucking dammit i'd buy two.
>>52050850
Why do you think it's not? They're hyping up the release
>>52050934
They haven't mentioned anything in six months, and they have never showed it as a product, only as some model an engineer whipped up and some silly voting committee shit.
A 12.5" Thinkpad with discrete graphics.
Hey /g/angsters, what's the best router and modem on the market right now?
>>52051085
so an x220, x230, or x250?
>>52051243
Bump limit reached :^)
A retro thinkpad with good modern specs
>>52049198
You surely never owned an Elitebook or a business tier HP
This one /g/? Lightweight & nice specs
>>52043063
I don't actually own my dream laptop so I can't Power On Self Test it
>>52043214
Are you a hobbit?
What should I get if I want a laptop for muh gaymz?
>>52052584
A life.
not my dream laptop but pretty good
https://www.powernotebooks.com/Sager-NP3240-Clevo-N240JU-gaming-laptops-notebooks-sys-7886.html
maybe this
MSI GS40 phantom
almost the same size as my current laptop (dell latitude 3340) but has a lot of power , hell migth even work as mobile ws
and also small
>>52044072
>not disabling the mousepad while typing
x1 carbon with iris pro, 16:10 oled and better (closer to classic thinkpad) keyboard
>>52043214
>all these scrubs praising this thing with a intel core M, same shit "muh thinness" processor as the new macbook
>>52059179
>faster cpu
>smaller bezels
>weighs less
>more compact
>real keyboard
>better battery life
>still has full assortment of ports
>can charge and use a USB device at the same time
>1.6lbs
>>52051386
I own an X220, and it doesn't have discrete graphics.
>>52046574
>a German being a cuck to the Americans
Not surprised.
>>52046172
>only country in the top 10 per capita increasing their electrical consumption per capita
>economy in the shitter
The lost decade is a meme the japanese made to claim they needed economical pity while their standard of living were and are still rising faster than anywhere else.
>>52043214
literal shit
>>52059985
because it doesn't have a razer logo and puke green backlit keys, am I rite?
>>52046574
>using meme media consumption hardware for actual work
Haha, fuckoff
>>52043619
>Yes those are two desktop gtx 980s in sli
>no, msi uses 980Ms last time i checked
>check model number
>check msi site
>mfw
>>52052230
I love the clit mouse on this
>>52054641
only way to change anything is through the keyboard
>>52060568
should have clarified: change anything hardware wise. Want to add RAM? Have fun popping out the keyboard and taking out the motherboard to do it (that's seriously how you tear those things down)
>>52043619
Since they're able to pull this off with the current tech, it's almost certain that when Pascal rolls out, this is going to become the default for the higher end gaming laptops.
Mobile GPUs are going to be a thing of the past pretty soon.
>>52060578
So? That takes all of maybe ten minutes if you're not literally retarded.
