Nope. The biggest factor in pure-aircooling design is the distance of fans from critical heat areas.
There's a good 6~7 inches before intake fans get to the CPU cooler, and by then the air is moving a lot more slowly.
Close fan proximity is made possible with a rotated motherboard layout, like in Silverstone Fortress/Raven series cases. Not only are they in close proximity, but they're very large 180cm fans, too.

Get an NZXT S430 and take out both fans, then replace just the back one with a noctua fan or something good like that. Quieter than stock, and I get better cup temps

i have the fractal define S and it is fucking perfect. i dont use an HDD or an SSD, my drive is mounted right onto the motherboard. i get crazy fucking airflow. temps on everything @ high load (i7-4790k and 980ti) hold around low 50s/upper 40s. it's awesome. get it.
