Total watch noob here. I'm looking for a cheap retro looking casio like the one in pic related. The problem is most come with a rubber wrap, something I would like to change, again like pic related. Which are the best options?

Let's see those old, worn out, scratched up, 20 cent watches you NEETs are so proud of! Hahahaha!!
>>
>>52017245
I really like bracelets with angular links.
>>
>>52017269
You can change the strap on (almost) any watch.
On any of those "retro" casios, you can just use a tool and push the bars out, take the bracelet off, and put a nato strap (the style of strap in your picture) in its place.
>>
>>52017293
I'm pretty sure he's asking for strap suggestions.

>>52017269
You can use a nato like the one in that pic, I use one on my Casio Jog & Walk and it works pretty good.

That piece of shit hideous entry level Seiko 6R15 base grade literally assembled only as much in Japan to scam a "Japan Made" kuckolding leverage onto the dial for over $100 USD?!?!

Hahahahahahahhaha hahaha. You are mountain Nip cock sucking brand whore who cares only about the artificial marketing driven "status" represented by marketing driven brands owned by faceless luxury brand conglomerates who literally laugh at the status seeking behaviour of their customers.

Your watch is massively overpriced garbage bought by clueless horological peasants intended only to drive your aspirations for higher tier brands.

Enjoy getting unremittingly kucked by Seiko, you horological peasant.

Don't really like the look of terrorist.

For the everyday use what do you think Omega De ville or Zenith Captain series?
I was thinking under 100€ for the military watch and about 2k for the mechanical, both Zenith and Omega are over 2000€ but I can rise my budget a bit.
Under 40mm with back window, hinged dust cover prefered.
To my knowledge Omega doesn't have window and Zenith doesn't have hinged dust cover.

Rolex Cellini line is supposed to be Rolex's attempt to make classy dress watches instead of the more tool watch stuff they typically make. A lot of them are ass ugly but some are pretty neat I guess. They're fucking expensive too.

I also don't know enough about the Cellinis to judge whether that one is fake but based on the watches it's surrounded by it sure doesn't seem convincing.

Buy a SARB and pretend there's no date window. It fits all the other requirements perfectly. It's pretty hard to find a watch without a date window these days because every standard movement has a date complication anyway so manufacturers feel a need to just cram in a date window even if it looks like shit.

I've worn this every day for the last 6 Years. 100m waterproof titanium.

Beat the shit out of it, still looks good and keeps time. Taken it scuba diving to 135 ft, and bashed it into all sorts of stuff.

Looking for a new watch since I just got my degree, gonna treat my self.

What's so bad about functional watches? I know you guys like simple watches and cyclejerk over Seiko, but what's so bad about this watch, if you guys are serious?
>>
>>52020171
There's a difference between functional and crammed full of intersecting dials and features that don't complement one another, with a garbage colorscheme, poor readability, low-quality timekeeping and poor material.
>>
>>52020171
It's one thing to be functional and have complications; it's another thing to cluttered and ugly, which that watch is.

I would argue it's too expensive for 600€, I paid almost 500€ with shipping which I think is too much, but competetion on my wrist is fierce I'm a real watch snob at any price level so I might even return it.

The hype for this watch is unreal, but yes it is an exceptional watch to a certain price like 300 $, a lot better looking than other sarbs. But for that 600€ get a BRIGHTZ Seiko instead from seya japan. They have polished onyx and all that jazz, next leve watch imo

I'm a bit of a fan of dirt cheap Chinese movements. I've had my first experience with the tongji movement and its pretty damn impressive for the prices you can get it at. Especially at how it retains its accuracy after being regulated (if QC was in your favor, soki seems to be the best with this).
I remember an anon here having a tiger submariner. Does yours use a DG2813? If so, how is it and is it worth the $120 asking price? I'm particularly interested in the Tudor submariner homage. Pretty unique.

>>
>>52025397
I think the movement is quite good and the case is SS.
Definitely not worth the ~50 bucks they're going for though.
I'd buy one in a heartbeat if they would drop down to $30 or so. Hopefully when they stop being a meme
>>
>>52025444
I dunno what they do to the movement but I recall it being much rougher than other watches which ostensibly use the same one. If I had known about tiger earlier I'd have bought one but one big caveat is its lack of water resistance - the invicta is actually divable.

Vostok amphibia with the 420 case is actually a really cool and interesting watch and priced around the bagel.

Dive bezels serve a purpose, but the majority of people with such a bezel won't go anywhere near water. Plus, the bezel doesn't have to necessarily be that big - pic related, I don't like the design myself but the bezel does look better

Large bezels still look like shit though, see >>52018741, for which the bezel serves strictly no purpose but to negatively affect aesthetics.
>>
>>52026493
>Dive bezels serve a purpose, but the majority of people with such a bezel won't go anywhere near water.
Ummm their purpose is to time things which is absolutely useful no matter if you're on land or in water.
>>
>>52026512
The reason why dive bezels are so fat is because it's better when you're underwater and potentially are low on oxygen.

Any old watch can have a tachymeter or chronograph complications which can serve as a time-keep. The bezels on these watches absolutely do not need to be ten inches thick, which is what the watches in some of my examples look like.

Steinhart is like $350 maybe but you still have to get fucked with shipping fees and probably customs on top of that because they use FUCKING Fedex. I'd say it's worth it though, it's a very good watch and I think the next closest sub-$300 options are gookshit Tissell and chinkshit Parnis. The tritium tubes are pretty thick and there has to be room for the tubes in the hands to clear the crystal and the tubes on the dial so it adds up to a pretty thick watch. I don't like how it looks, especially since for some reason every manufacturer always spends so much effort finishing up the steel on the outside of the case but they never seem to bother making that inside rim around the dial look decent.

Guys I need some advice. I'm about to fall for the meme watch, but I don't know if the gold version is too much. I think it looks kinda tacky especially on a guy but at the same time I like it more than the silver.

Should I go for the silver or gold? And if gold should the face be black or gold colored?

Merry Christmas.

I think I'll either save up for a Steinhart or cheap out and get an invicta. I feel like with the latter option I'll constantly have to justify the dogshit branding to myself though. Being a poor college student sucks

How big is your watch because I juat recieved my skx and it seems way smaller than I thought it would be. I have large hands but my wrist isn't that big at all.
