Can't we just kill Java?

I wish.

What will Pajeet program in then? He has 50 kids to feed because he was too dumb to use a condom

If Pajeet can program in Java he can learn to program in other languages as well.
I'm just learning clojure and things like these are making me scared.
Jvm is pretty great. What happens to it if java gets killed?
And also isn't modren java really good at performance?
Isn't java used in almost every operating system ?

It's so omnipresent it's scary.
>>51998691
why do tech illiterates like you learn programming languages at all?
>>51997518
Just use OpenJDK

As long as the plugin gets killed in the end, I'm happy. I want 2016 to be the year we achieve a plugin free web that uses only HTML5 and whatnot rather than plugins like java or flash.

HTML5 is only good for simple media players. Java and flash plugins do more than that.

There have been some serious exploits for OpenJDK as well, just not as many as for JRE. But anyhow, using OpenJDK will only prolong the existence of Java. We need to deprecate it I say.
