An attacker may not give a shit about stealing your porn stash or gmail passwords, but they will be plenty happy to use your computer as a proxy to download CP. There's a reason botnets exist, and it's *not* simply to search compromised computers for data.

2. a number of antivirus solutions are for a lack of a better term complete ass. this is due to them making your system more vulnerable than they do to secure them. see avast, avira, bitdefender, norton, and panda.
