I find that if I push myself to type as fast as I can, the time I spend backspacing reduces my overall WPM to the same speed I'd achieve when typing at my regular rhythm (pic related).
Also I should really learn to use more than the three middle fingers of each hand to type.

I normally type 95-100 wpm, recently tested myself on amphetamines and I hit 125, drugs are truly magical.

My first and only try today.
You wouldn't think so, but having a laggy monitor hurts performance in this test. I can definitely feel the difference in speed coming from a CRT now that I'm on an IPS LCD non-gaming panel. Without lag I can probably hit 105 comfortably.

That's not how lag works. In this scenario when I am done typing a word I am waiting about 1/8 of a second for confirmation from the screen whether I typed it correctly or not. On a CRT the confirmation is instant.
