oh really been gone since 9/11
>>
Well it is, ENCRYPT.

Any unencrypted data is data that is owned by the government.
>>
>>51959288

Nothing that Julian Assange says is relevant to anything other than his attempts to boost his own celebrity status.

>oh oh what's an issue I can tag onto so people will listen

I hope he enjoys prison rape.

Easy to beat

>Two plainclothes FBI agents, one male and one female, walked up behind Ulbricht and began arguing loudly. This staged lovers' tiff caught Ulbricht's attention long enough to distract him from his laptop. As soon as Ulbricht looked up, the male agent reached down and slid the computer over to his female colleague, who quickly snatched it up and handed it over to Kiernan for further investigation.

>Understandably alarmed, Ulbricht stood up sharply, Kiernan told the jury. But he did not resist arrest, and Kiernan was able to access the computer — a Samsung 700z — to collect evidence almost immediately. Kiernan recalled taking his "brand new USB" and extracting all of the files from Ulbricht's laptop before taking photos of the computer with his FBI-issued Blackberry.

>In one of these photos, an open chat between Ulbricht and cirrus can be seen on the laptop's screen. The support page of Silk Road's server is seen in another photo, which Kiernan says popped up when he pressed the "back" button on the laptop's web browser. Pressing the "back" button again, Kiernan says he encountered the Silk Road "mastermind" page, which he said could be accessed only by using the DPR (Dread Pirate Roberts) username.

NSA pls go
>>
>>51959335

t. NSA
>>
He's right though.
>>
>>51959427
Why the FUCK would you do illegal shit on a computer in a public space where anyone could see it in passing??
>>
>>51959493

Not the point.
>>
>>51959427
Easy to beat if you're being targeted and you literally have 4 federal agents sitting next to you waiting for an opportunity to catch your data after you've unecrypted it.

For everyone else, encryption works.

I mean how many federal agents will they need to do this to everyone?
>>
sunde and assange both given up hope for privacy

sad times

American pig spotted
If your shitty country realised that they didn't rule the world Julian would be free to go.
You are supporting your own chains

>>
IT'S ALL OVER
>>
>>51959288
Nah, Assange just lost his shit when he realized people are opting in on Windows 10.
>>
>>51959288

Next he'll say that fire is hot
>>
>>51959335
look at this masochistic idiot, chaining himselv under the heel of obama.
>>
>>51959554
You are the kind of faggot that carries his wallet in the back pocket of his jeans and then cries that his wallet was stolen.
The guy was asking for it.
>>
>>51959427
That's not what I call easy.
>>
>>51959427
>the male agent reached down and slid the computer over to his female colleague, who quickly snatched it up and handed it over to Kiernan for further investigation.
women can't into computers
>>
>>51959427
So they distracted him and stole the computer? I was expecting some mission impossible shit where they download the whole hard drive in two seconds. This isn't even impressive. They didn't even have to have a diversion.
>>
What did Julian honestly expect when there's nearly 7.4 BILLION PEOPLE on this finite planet?

The whole "Internet of Things" initiative is the result when things become so impossibly complex that we rely on the super intelligence of the internet to help manage this clutter we call civilization.
>>
>>51964414
>things become so impossibly complex that we rely on the super intelligence of the internet to help manage this clutter we call civilization
>turning on a light bulb or unlocking the front door is impossibly complex
>better connect them to the Internet
>>
>The man formerly known as Julian Assange has revealed his true nature as Supreme Lord of the Sith and threatened to obliterate Earth if his demands are not met.

That picture holy shit.
>>
>>51964414
>help manage this clutter we call civilization

Jesus now we've moved to melodrama in /g/ to slam automatic door openers?

Tits or GTFO
>>
>>51964492

This.

But all he has to do is shave and hit the treadmill and he's back to his former hot self. I'd love to be able to say the same.
>>
>>51964446
>turning on a light bulb or unlocking the front door is impossibly complex
Yes itis you fucking retard.
Did you fucking come up with circuitry and the invention of the lightbulb yourself?
Why don't you try taking apart your front door lock and putting it back together after I've jumbled it up.

The point being made is that although it seems simple the machinations behind them are so complex you can't understand them and that people are becoming more and more reliant on technology.
>>
>>51964574
The lightbulb was invented a hundred years before the Internet, doors are older than time. Life sure must've been hell during the dark ages when the doors didn't even have a proper network stack.

Nothing you do today is any more complex than what you'd have done 15 years ago (if you were born then, that is). You don't need to connect stupid shit to the Internet just because some marketing genius told you so.

>the circuitry for a lightbulb
wat
>>
It's because you've been fighting a disproportionate and futile fight.
Trying to defend the privacy of individuals against an agency with unlimited resources.

Instead, you should fight fire with fire. Work towards abolishing privacy, but on your own terms. So that NSA doesn't have monopoly on accessing private data, but all private data becomes public data. Make all data free as in freedom.

It will be the first step towards making the world a united hivemind.
>>
>>51964574
>Flip switch to break barrier between two wires
>Electricity flows through wire to light bulb and heats coil
>Coil heating makes light bulb filled with gas glow
It's pretty simple when the research has already been done
>>
>>51964697
>You don't need to connect stupid shit to the internet just because some marketing genius told you so.
The problem is, you fucking moron. Is that all manufacturers are making these things and eventually they will be the only things on the market in their different forms.
>>
>>51964736
>it's pretty simple when the research has already been done
Yeah, the average moron can't even figure out how magnets work.
>>
>>51964750
Type like a homo sapiens if you want people to understand you.

>all manufacturers are making these things and eventually they will be the only things on the market in their different form
What does this even mean?
>>
>>51964574
and connecting them to the internet will somehow lessen the complexity. lol
>>
>>51964782
What it means is that if all manufacturers eventually make locks that connect to the internet. Are you going to fucking build your own locks you stupid nignog?
>>
>>51964793
No, you don't get the point. The point is you can't escape it. It's coming and there's nothing you can do about it.
>>
>>51964826
>>51964844
>backpedalling
So explain again why it's necessary for surviving in this oh-so-complex world of yours?
>>
>>51964869
>why it's necessary
It's necessary because you either adapt or die faget.
>>
>>51964892
You're still backpedalling. I don't care about your opinions about the market. Explain why the world is so complex that we need the "super intelligence" of the Internet to manage our household appliances that have somehow become more complex because there are 7.4 BILLION PEOPLE on earth.

Yeah wtf, why didnt they just hire a random black guy and stage it to look like a mugging? DPR would have probably just handed over the computer if he had a thug up in his shit

Good point

I'm not so sure he even has a point.

pair X item with laptop over bluetooth. get dragged off, computer wipe RAM and shutdown. ggnore
>>
>>51964966
iirc he had it so that if if he closed the lid everything would be encrypted, and they wouldn't be able to access anything any more
>>
>>51959427

If we are talking about a TLA, there's so many options..

Why not van eck phreaking?
Why not some bluetooth stuff?
Why not just taking the built-in backdoor?

So many options..
>>
>>51959493
The point was to be on a public connection so it couldn't be pinned on him. He shouldn't have moved from the laptop without locking it. Also needed a one button way to shut it down so it's safe behind encryption.

Not to mention he was safe until they had physical access to his comp.
