Semi related, but do you guys have any overclocking tips? I can't get my FX8350 to run above 4.5ghz without going over 1.5v and I think it's an issue with my motherboard.

My temps are actually not bad. Idles at around 20c and never gets above 60c. Every guide I've read says I should be able to hit 4.4 on stock voltage but I was at like 1.4 before I got a stable 4.4.

I'm using the MSI 970 gaming mobo that logical increments recommended but I think I kinda screwed up not getting a better one.

Yeah, OK.

This benchmark is definitely inaccurate, but Geekbench is no better.
>>
>>51956504
Yeah youre VRMs are getting too hot, and you need a better power phase delivery for the CPU. Your almost certainly heat constrained, not ghz constrained per se (silicon lottery)

4.4Ghz single core,
4Ghz on all cores

HT was on but I did not test the same speed with it off.

Running at 24/7 clock (4.084Ghz single core, 3.9Ghz all cores with HT off) got 1450/7650.

This bench appears to utilize hyperthreading with roughly a 15-18% gain.
There is a 20% performance difference between 4Ghz HT on and 3.916 HT off, which is only a 2ish% difference in clock rate
