How are you faggots using your 16GB RAM?
I opted for 16GB instead of 8 in my new MBP thinking I'd need it since I'm using anywhere between 1 and 3 ROS VMs at a time for school, but frankly, even with Firefox and Xcode and IntelliJ open at the same time and music playing I've never seen it use more than 6-6.5GB

I have probably have around 50ish tabs open right now. KDE lets me tab any application to another so I separate out my windows by board or topic and tab those together. I have a window tab with it's own sub tabs for each thread. Pic related.

i just thought that the Vm performance on my old machine was shit due to it only having 4GB of RAM but it probably was the years old 1.8GHz Core 2 Duo that slowed things down

Graphics RAM can actually be a limiting factor though hence the recent developments in HBM. VRAM overclocking is actually a thing and can actually yield noticeable benefits
