I'm aiming for a gaming rig that can rival the PS4 or XBone. The point is to make something relatively similar in price to the PS4, it can be more expensive because I also need a work PC. This is what I got:

My biggest problem is the delays. Board was DOA and they were good about it and replaced it. But it took over a week to get a new one sent out, and it never showed up. Took two hours to talk to anyone at Newegg after OnTrac ignored me. They're giving me 7 to 10 days for this to be resolved.

dvi is usually for computer monitors
using either doesnt matter much because you dont use monitor speakers.
If its older you probably have a shitty 1080 21" tn panel like most people. A worthwhile upgrade imo is a 27" ips 1440p or wait for 32" 4k qdot later on.
